Your Role: US Brand Manager, Dairy Feed Additives
As the US Brand Manager for our Dairy Feed Additives portfolio, you will hold a pivotal position at the intersection of market leadership and sustainability. The primary focus of this role will be steering the strategy for Rumensin, the long-standing market leader in dairy efficiency, to maintain and grow its significant market share.
Concurrently, you will dedicate a portion of your focus to fostering customer retention and recruitment for Bovaer, a cornerstone of our sustainability efforts, by creating and implementing targeted marketing strategies for key audiences including farms, nutritionists, and feed mills. Additionally, you will maintain a close connection with our global sustainability team to ensure strategic alignment and business continuity.
In this role, you will own the marketing activation for Rumensin and Bovaer, partnering closely with commercial teams, external agencies, and cross-functional teams. You will have the unique opportunity to focus on two critical brands, making a direct and significant impact on Elanco's mission and the profitability of the US Dairy business.
Your Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute distinct strategic marketing plans for Rumensin (to maintain and grow market share) and Bovaer (to drive customer retention and recruitment), ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
- Own the complete financial lifecycle for the brands, including managing the annual marketing budget (OPEX), guiding monthly forecasting, and contributing to the long-range financial plan.
- Serve as the commercial guide for feed additives, partnering with US Dairy Sales, Technical, and Channel leadership, as well as external agencies, to drive cohesive and impactful execution.
- Partner with the sales team to develop and deliver compelling customer value propositions, equipping them with the tools and training necessary to succeed.
- Guide the development of brand messaging and customer-facing materials, and oversee the promotional review process (e.g., PromoMats) to ensure all US promotional activities are compliant and strategically aligned.
What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):
- Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent relevant experience.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing, brand management, or a related field, with proven experience in developing and executing marketing strategy for complex portfolios.
- Top 2 skills: Recognized expertise in developing and executing complex marketing strategies and the proven ability to guide and influence cross-functional teams, external partners, and agency relationships.
What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications):
- Deep understanding of and experience within the animal health, dairy, or agricultural sector.
- Advanced degree or a Bachelor's Degree specifically in Business, Marketing, or a related science field.
- Direct experience managing a portfolio that includes both mature, top-tier brands and new product launch brands.
- Expertise with promotional review processes and systems (e.g., PromoMats).
- Experience in thought leadership execution and managing customer-specific value propositions.
