University – Summer 27, Enterprise Cybersecurity IT Policy Intern

The Opportunity:

As an Enterprise Cybersecurity Information Technology (IT) Policy Intern, you will gain hands-on experience supporting the development of Booz Allen’s cyber policy. In this role, you will analyze complex cyber threats targeting Booz Allen, our workforce and clients, then turn your findings into clear, actionable best practices to empower users to stay secure in today’s digital landscape.

By contributing to impactful initiatives, such as cyber compliance, legal and regulatory policies, and organization-wide mandates and standards, you will build a practical foundation in cybersecurity risk management, cyber law, and policy.

How You’ll Contribute:

• Develop a strong foundation in Enterprise Cybersecurity

• Apply gained foundational knowledge to better understand the cybersecurity mission, team organization, principles, policy and compliance requirements, and risk management practices

• Apply knowledge to real world projects

• Contribute to ongoing initiatives such as policy and standard development, enforcement strategies, technical strategy, and technical communications.

• Grow communication and technical skills by partnering with senior policy analysts and presenting work in team reviews.

You Have:

• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, solutions, or technologies

• Knowledge of productivity tools, such as PowerPoint, Microsoft Word

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

• Ability to tailor messages to specific audiences

• Scheduled to obtain a Bachelor’s degree by December 2028

Nice If You Have:

• Ability to display a willingness to learn new platforms, such as SharePoint and Atlassian JIRA

• Possession of strong written communication and editing skills

• Pursuing a degree in Law, Policy, Communications, Political Science, International Relations, English, Cybersecurity, or Information Systems

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $53,000.00 to $108,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
