The UI/UX Designer Intern will support the Infrastructure & Operations (Infra & Ops) team by helping design intuitive, user-centered digital experiences for internal tools, dashboards, platforms, and operational systems. This internship provides hands-on experience working alongside IT professionals to improve how employees interact with technology through thoughtful design, usability research, wireframing, and prototyping.

The ideal candidate is a creative problem-solver who is passionate about user experience, visual design, and emerging technologies. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to real-world IT initiatives while developing professional design skills in a fast-paced enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Infrastructure, Operations, Engineering, and Product stakeholders to understand user needs and business requirements.
• Design wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and user flows for internal applications and operational platforms.
• Conduct user research, usability testing, and feedback sessions to identify opportunities for experience improvements.
• Translate complex technical processes into intuitive and user-friendly interfaces.
• Create and maintain design systems, style guides, and UI components for consistency across products.
• Partner with developers to ensure designs are implemented accurately and effectively.
• Assist with accessibility reviews and ensure designs align with usability best practices.
• Analyze user feedback and performance metrics to recommend enhancements and optimizations.
• Support the modernization of internal IT tools and digital employee experiences.
• Present design concepts and recommendations to project teams and stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in User Experience Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Graphic Design, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Strong portfolio showcasing UI/UX projects, academic work, personal projects, or relevant professional experience.
• Experience with design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar platforms.
• Understanding of user-centered design principles, information architecture, and usability best practices.
• Strong visual design skills, including layout, typography, and interaction design.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to receive feedback and iterate on designs effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Familiarity with React or modern front-end frameworks.
• Experience creating interactive prototypes and conducting usability testing.
• Understanding of accessibility standards and responsive design principles.
• Interest in enterprise technology, IT operations, cloud infrastructure, and digital workplace solutions.
