Job Details:

Pay is 17.10 per hour.

1st Shift Schedule approximately 7AM to 5PM Monday through Friday. Shift times and days may vary depending on Production needs. Must be willing to work overtime, weekends.  Holiday work maybe required at times.

MUST MEET ALL JOB REQUIREMENTS WITHIN A TRAINING/QUALIFICATION PERIOD of 6-8 weeks.

Upon successful completion of the training program the team member will be transferred into a VACANT position on the CONE LINES. Successful transfer is dependent upon there being a vacancy on the CONE LINES. If there are no vacancies, then the TM will be transferred into another position within the Plant that will not be considered a CONE LINE position and therefore ineligible for the incentive pay.

General Labor (Debone Operations)

Job Summary

These are entry-level, non-skilled production positions responsible for successfully completing an 8-week qualification period while learning and performing a variety of debone-line functions. Team Members are expected to maintain a safe work environment and comply with all Tyson policies, procedures, and food safety requirements.

Essential Job Functions

Machine Feeder

• Place product onto conveyors that feed processing equipment.
• Ensure product is positioned correctly as it enters the machine.
• Conduct routine machine checks to verify proper operation.
• Document machine testing results and report equipment failures.

Wing Cutter

• Remove wings from the breast frame according to established quality standards.
• Minimize breast meat remaining on wings.
• Identify and remove defective product.
• Place acceptable product onto the conveyor system.

Breast Trimmer

• Trim boneless breast fillets to specification.
• Remove bones, skin, cartilage, and other defects.
• Return trimmed product to the conveyor for further processing.

Breast Puller

• Manually remove breast meat from frames.
• Pull meat downward and use a knife to separate flank meat from the rib cage.
• Inspect frames and breast butterflies for remaining bones.
• Trim bones as necessary or place product in designated areas for additional inspection.

Shoulder Cutter

• Cut front halves at the shoulder joint according to specification.
• Ensure pulley bones and scapula bones are clean with eye meat removed.
• Pull shoulders to the proper length to support downstream wing-cut operations.

Utility Labor

• Maintain product flow and ensure adequate supplies are available.
• Support daily operations by filling in at various production positions as needed.
• Perform miscellaneous production-related tasks within the assigned area.

Tender Scorer/Puller

• Separate tenderloins from the breast shell without damaging the tender.
• Remove any bones or foreign material found on the product.
• Ensure product meets quality standards.

Cone Stabber

• Place front halves onto debone cones at the beginning of the line.
• Transfer product from collection bins to cones.
• Avoid missed placements, dropped product, damaged ribs, or split keel bones.

Backup Labor

• Cross-train and perform all positions on the debone cone line.
• Demonstrate the ability to perform duties to standard at required line speeds.
• Provide operational support wherever needed.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to push, pull, carry, and lift up to 50 pounds or more.
• Ability to perform repetitive motions throughout the shift.
• Ability to work in damp, cold, wet, or hot production environments.
• Ability to frequently use hands and arms above shoulder level.
• Ability to stand for 8 to 10 hours per day.
• Ability to climb stairs to and from work areas.
• Ability to perform occasional stooping and bending.
• Ability to use knives, scissors, and other required tools safely and effectively.
• Ability to maintain required production line speed.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Required PPE may include:

• Hearing protection (ear plugs or ear muffs)
• Hair net
• Beard guard (if applicable)
• Aprons and protective wraps
• Cut-resistant gloves
• Arm guards
• Any additional PPE required by Tyson policies and safety procedures

Additional Requirements

• Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
• Must maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Must successfully meet all job performance, quality, safety, and attendance requirements within the 6 to 8 week qualification period.
