POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for the operation, inspection, and maintenance of the turret truck for the shipping department along with keeping freezer inventory and assisting with shipping out product.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The duties of the Turret Truck Operator will include, but not be limited to the following.
- Operate turret truck in product freezer.
- Rotate product for “first in, first out” policy.
- Red wrap product that has been placed on Quality Assurance hold.
- Stage International orders & California orders.
- Keep Turret truck charged & clean.
- Maintain Hot Room & Charging area. (organized & clean)
- Responsible for completing daily forklift/turret inspection sheets.
- Assist in keeping freezer clean & organized.
- Responsible for checking product inventory levels.
COMPETENCIES:
- Employee should be in good general physical condition and able to stand for prolonged periods, bend, turn, twist, climb and lift up to a minimum of 60 pounds, without restriction.
- Employee must work well with others and have good social and communication skills and be willing to take direction.
- Valid driver’s license required
- Forklift certified
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Required Education:
High School Diploma or GED
Required Experience:
1-2 years of warehouse experience or turret truck experience
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
Less than 10%
