What You’ll Be Doing

As an ASD Tug Boat Master, you will take command of the tug and lead the crew to ensure safe and efficient operations, including:

• Managing the tugboat operations and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Supervising and coordinating crew activities, including scheduling and readiness.
• Ensuring compliance with Svitzer policies, statutory obligations, and safety management systems.
• Maintaining operational and safety reports.
• Providing leadership, mentorship, and training for crew members.
• Participating in safety training and operational improvement initiatives.

What You’ll Bring

We’re looking for a dedicated and safety-conscious professional who meets the following criteria:

• 1st Class Master Certificate of Competency (Moroccan nationality required).
• Minimum required experience operating ASD tugs in port towage operations.
• Fluency in Arabic, French, and English (mandatory).
• Ability to lead a team effectively and maintain a collaborative, safety-focused environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to perform under pressure.
• Familiarity with industry technology and basic MS Office skills.
• The candidate must reside within 1 hour of Tanger Med II Port to ensure timely availability for operations.

What You’ll Be Doing
As a Chief Engineer, you will take responsibility for the technical performance of the tug and lead the engineering operations to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient vessel functioning, including:
• Overseeing the maintenance, operation, and repair of all mechanical and electrical systems on board.
• Ensuring compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
• Supervising the engine room crew, including scheduling, training, and performance oversight.
• Maintaining accurate records, including machinery logs, maintenance schedules, and safety documentation.
• Participating actively in safety drills, inspections, and improvement initiatives.
• Supporting the Master in overall vessel readiness and operational efficiency.
