Your impact

Treasury is where Mollie's balance sheet takes shape, this team makes sure that our balance sheet is safe, well-funded and resilient. You, as Treasury Manager, will be one of the first people building the Asset & Liability Management (ALM) function for Mollie.

This is a genuine 0-to-1 role. There is no legacy ALM framework to maintain, no existing ILAAP to update, no established models to inherit. You'll help design and build the liquidity risk framework, the interest rate and credit spread risk approach, and the funding and balance sheet strategy. Your work will feed directly into Mollie’s licence application and, once authorised, into how Mollie actually manages its liquidity and funding risks.

You'll work closely with our product teams, Finance, and Risk Domains and your analysis will be seen by senior leadership and, eventually, by our regulator. As Mollie moves from application to operation, your scope will grow from building the framework to running it.

What you'll ship

• Build and own the core building blocks of Mollie liquidity risk framework, including the ILAAP, LCR/NSFR monitoring, and liquidity stress testing.

• Develop Mollie’s approach to interest rate risk and credit spread risk in the banking book (IRRBB/CSRBB), from risk identification through to models, limits and hedging strategy.

• Contribute to the design of Mollie’s funding and balance sheet strategy, including deposit mix, funding diversification and balance sheet construction.

• Build the Contingency Funding Plan and related early-warning indicators, so Mollie knows exactly what to do under stress before it needs to.

• Produce clear, well-documented policies, methodologies and models that will stand up to scrutiny from DNB/ECB, external auditors, and Mollie's own second and third lines of defense.

• Support senior leadership (ALCO or its future equivalent) with the analysis, reporting and recommendations it needs to make sound balance sheet decisions.

• Partner with Risk, Finance and our external advisors, to make sure Treasury's frameworks are consistent with Mollie’s wider risk appetite and governance.

What you'll bring

• Around 5+ years of experience in Treasury, ALM or balance sheet risk management, ideally within a bank, though experience in a fintech, PSP or consultancy building similar frameworks is also relevant.

• Solid working knowledge of liquidity risk (LCR/NSFR, ILAAP) and/or interest rate risk in the banking book (IRRBB/CSRBB). You don't need to be deep in both, but you understand how they connect to the balance sheet as a whole.

• Comfort building models and frameworks from a blank page. You're not looking for a well-worn playbook, you're excited to write the first one.

• Strong quantitative and Excel/financial modelling skills, with the discipline to document your logic clearly enough that someone else, including a regulator, can follow it.

• The ability to explain complex balance sheet risk topics clearly to non-specialists, and the confidence to defend your recommendations to senior stakeholders.

• Genuine curiosity about how AI can speed up the parts of this work that don't need a human, so more of your time goes toward judgment and design.
