The Opportunity

As a Transfer Pricing PhD - Senior Associate, you will navigate the complexities of the global tax landscape, optimizing tax strategies and driving compliance within our Tax practice. As a Senior Associate, you will leverage your skills to analyze complex problems, mentor others, and maintain professional standards. You will focus on building meaningful client relationships and developing a deeper understanding of the business context. In this role at PwC, you will assist businesses in designing and implementing effective international tax and legal structures, optimizing their global operations, and reinforcing compliance with cross-border regulations. You will also engage with clients to align intercompany pricing with value creation and tax efficiency, contributing to sustainable growth in an ever-changing tax environment.

Responsibilities

- Navigating the complexities of global tax regulations to optimize intercompany pricing strategies
- Conducting thorough analysis of transfer pricing policies to align with the arm's length principle and OECD guidelines
- Collaborating with clients to develop tailored tax strategies that drive compliance and maximize value creation
- Utilizing analytical thinking to break down complex tax concepts and provide actionable insights
- Managing tax documentation and preparing consolidated tax returns for multinational entities
- Engaging in tax research to provide accurate and up-to-date information on international taxation laws
- Supporting the design and implementation of effective international tax and legal structures
- Leveraging business tax knowledge to assist clients in managing tax liabilities and filing tax returns
- Participating in structured transactions to optimize financial operations and meet specific business objectives

What You Must Have

- Currently pursuing or have completed a Doctor of Philosophy degree in the following field of study: Economics
- At least a 3.0 overall GPA

The salary range for this position is: $77,000 - $214,000. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws. All hired individuals are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
