The Heritage Group is looking for a well-organized and open-minded intern to support our Learning and Development Team. This is a great development opportunity for someone interested in exploring a career path that enables internal employees to leverage internal tools and resources for career advancement and overall support. This role also assists with designing digital learning content, organizing resources, and applying best practices in instructional design As a member of the People + Enablement Team, this person will work closely with and support the Learning and Development Manager, Specialists and Learning Management System (LMS) Administrator. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the learning culture here at The Heritage Group.
Essential Functions
- Support the Learning and Development Manager and Specialists in facilitating on-site and virtual professional development training sessions, including participants materials, room reservations, catering, etc.
- Training Design and Delivery: Under supervision of L&D teammates, the intern will help identify, design, update, and/or deliver learning initiatives that support our core curricula of business development, project management, and/or management and leadership.
- Attend and observe internal meetings and under supervision, support the design, delivery, engagement and/or evaluation of in-house learning initiatives.
- Assist and observe internal meetings and under supervision, support the design, delivery, engagement and/or evaluation of in-house learning initiatives.
- Gain an understanding of LMS Admin responsibilities and support the LMS Administrator in managing and reporting functions.
- Attend L&D team meetings and trainings.
- Receive hands-on instruction in training & development practices and procedures, talent management strategy, training metrics, LMS and leadership.
- Assist and designing and developing digital learning content (eLearning, guides, job aids).
- Support content reviews and quality checks for clarity and accuracy
- Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned, including but not limited to continuously growing in alignment with the Company’s core values, competencies, and skills.
Education Qualifications
- Required High School or Equivalent
- Preferred Bachelor's Degree Current Junior or Senior majoring in Psychology, Education, Instructional Design, Communications, or other related fields.
Experience Qualifications
- Preferred 1+ years Marketing and Social Media experience.

Working Conditions/Physical Demands
- Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Must have the ability to lift and carry small parcels, packages and other items and walk short distances.
Internships at The Heritage Group
The Heritage Group Internship Program provides hands-on, paid experiences in a corporate function or within one of our many operating companies. Interns can expect to network with other students and professionals, gain useful skills, receive mentoring, and make their own contributions to the organization. Additionally, interns can participate in our weekly hosted events focused on professional development, team building, and community service.
Intern pay is non-negotiable and is calculated based on current academic class standing $18/hour (Freshman) - $21/hour (Senior), etc.
