Job Description:

 

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance to clients on individual tax services, demonstrating expertise in areas such as 990, 5500,1040 or 1041

• Determine tax service objectives, scope and methodology and actively participate in communications with client management to understand the client’s business and to identify possible tax solutions

• Oversee the calculation and analysis of tax strategies for clients and assist with delivering to the client

• Manage and review the preparation individuals tax returns, estimated payments and extensions. Monitor, document and apply the tax laws for US tax return preparation

• Continue to develop relationships with clients, including involvement in networking and business development activities

• Proficiency in CCS Access Software and Sure Prep tools.

• Ability to handle business entity tax compliance tasks effectively.

• Provide both leadership (mentoring and coaching) and supervision to Tax Seniors and Staff

• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and contribute towards implementing them

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or related field required.

• EA, CPA (US) or CA (ICAI) certification preferred. 

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in US Taxation

• Previous experience in a public accounting firm preferred

• Proficient in individual taxation - 990, 5500,1040 or 1041

• Minimum of 2 years of supervising and training experience

• Prior experience working with large, multi-state, internationally active middle-market clients preferred

• Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently and strong organizational skills required for managing multiple client engagements
