1. Purpose of the Role 

The purpose of this role is to train a dedicated resource in all aspects of Plant Controlling, end to end, building a capable professional ready to support the increasing demands in finance, and also possible future needs within the Controlling team. 

The intern will gain comprehensive exposure to the full Section Controlling cycle — from weekly cost governance and monthly financial reporting through to budgeting, forecasting, and compliance — working closely with experienced Controlling professionals in an international FMCG environment. 

2. Key Responsibilities 

The intern will work alongside the Section Controller, gaining hands-on involvement across the full scope of Plant Controlling: 

Cost Governance & Performance Tracking 

Support the weekly and monthly monitoring of manufacturing costs — including material losses, labour efficiency, and maintenance spend — helping ensure visibility and early detection of deviations. 

Financial Reporting & Analysis 

Contribute to the preparation of monthly results, cost analysis by area, and key financial reconciliations, building a solid understanding of how plant performance translates into the P&L. 

Controls & Compliance 

Assist in periodic reviews and internal controls that safeguard data accuracy and ensure adherence to corporate policies (including SOX-related activities). 

Budgeting & Forecasting 

Participate in the budgeting and forecasting cycle, supporting standard costing, productivity tracking, and benefit calculations for improvement projects. 

Month-End Closure 

Support the end-to-end month-end closing process, including accruals, production order settlements, and volume reporting. 

Master Data & Data Integrity 

Help maintain the accuracy of master data (BOMs, cost centers, material records) across systems, ensuring the financial data foundation is reliable and up to date. 

3. Systems & Tools 

The intern will develop practical, hands-on experience with the enterprise systems used in Plant Controlling, including SAP, Marco, ION, as well as Excel and BI reporting tools.  

4. Candidate Profile 

RequirementDetail 

Education: 

Final year or recent graduate in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or related field 

Languages: 

Spanish (fluent); English (working level) 

Technical Skills: 

Strong Excel skills; familiarity with SAP is a plus; experience with BI or reporting tools valued 

Analytical Skills:

Comfort with numbers, financial data, and working across multiple datasets 

Soft Skills:

Attention to detail, proactive attitude, eagerness to learn, structured approach to work 

Availability:

Full-time internship, minimum 6 months
