JOB SUMMARY:
The System Engineer supports North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) Cheyenne Mountain Complex (NCMC) Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract 3 (NISSC 3).
SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Independently evaluates, selects, adapts, and modifies standard techniques and criteria to plan and conduct a technical solution for an engineering assignment.
- Independently plans, schedules, and conduct or coordinates detailed phases of engineering work through the selection and adaptation or modification of techniques, procedures, criteria and update associated documentation and artifacts.
- Analyze complex features of the work and apply principles and practices of the discipline or devise new approaches in problem solutions.
- Thoroughly review all results from assigned tasks and determine if outputs are complete, correct, integrated with project objectives, and adequately documented.
- Apply concepts for developing and establishing systems engineering databases, templates, requirements, and testing.
- Accomplish tasks of moderate scope and solve problems which require investigation of a select number of system functions.
- Interpret requirements and perform analyses to ensure that objectives are executed.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Active Secret Clearance
- Bachelor of Science degree is required
- 5 years or more directly related engineering experience
- 6 years or more of general work experience
- Experience with the MBSE approach to systems engineering and with creating, managing, and maintaining system models using Cameo
- Proficient using systems engineering modeling tools to develop functional, logical, and physical views of the system architecture
- Experienced with independently evaluating, selecting, adapting, and modifying standard techniques and criteria to plan and conduct engineering assignments.
- Experienced with plans, schedules, conduct, and coordination of detailed phases of engineering work through the selection and adaptation or modification of techniques, procedures, and criteria.
- Knowledge of System Engineer V model
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Visio, Excel)
DESIRED REQUIREMENTS
- Preferred degree: Computer Science, System Engineering, Software Engineering
- Familiar with Agile Model.
- Manage multiple troubleshooting tasks simultaneously.
EDUCATION: Bachelors with 3+ or Master's with 1+ Years of Experience
LOCATION: Full Time/ On-Site in Colorado Springs, CO
CLEARANCE REQUIRMENT: Active Secret Clearance
DOD 8570 REQUIREMENT: IAT - Level II
SALARY RANGE: $ 65,000 to $ 100,000
