Our Elementary School Part-Time After School Teacher

Our Elementary School, admiringly named “Dos Amigos”, at School in the Square is a Dual Language PreK-5th grade program dedicated to providing each student with the tools and support to become lifelong learners. Dos Amigos provides a creative, bilingual immersion program alongside a focus on SEL. 

We are looking for dedicated, mission-aligned part-time after school assistant teachers who have a passion for bilingual immersion. Reporting to our After School Manager and in collaboration with a diverse and committed Elementary School Staff, you will assist in a range of classes and activities while supporting the overall well-being of students attending the After School program. Duties and Responsibilities:

• Availability to work Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 3:15 PM - 5:45 PM and Wednesday: 1:00 PM - 5:45 PM
• Provide help with arrival and dismissal of students 
• Supervise the transition of all students to their daily activities
• Help with Attendance and constant supervision of all grade level students 
• Organization, dispersing and collection of supplies
• Helping with the distribution and cleaning up of  snack and daily used spaces
• Supervision of students during after care programs
• Working alongside and reporting to both the after school  manager and coordinator daily 
• Supervising students transitions outdoors to local parks 
• Supervising appropriate usage of technology including but not limited to conduct, treatment of supplies and locking up of equipment
• Ability to work with other adults in a lead or assistant teacher role
• Coverage of classes when absences occur

• Fluency in Spanish is preferred

The pay rate for this role is $25.00 an hour based on the role. This is a part time role and does not include benefits.
