We’re looking for a Maintenance Supervisor to lead from the front and deliver good work every day on the Chatham Islands. You’ll plan and organise work safely, make sure the right people, plant and materials are in place, and keep jobs moving across your area.

This is a hands-on leadership role where safety, quality, delivery and people all matter. You’ll lead operational crews, provide clear onsite direction, and step in when needed, working closely with the client, consultant and Fulton Hogan team across roading, water and waste.

Ngā tino kawenga mahi | Key role responsibilities

• Lead crews to deliver maintenance work safely, efficiently and to a high standard across the Chatham Islands contract.
• Plan and co-ordinate people, plant, materials and logistics to keep work running smoothly in a remote operating environment.
• Create a safe work environment for team members, subcontractors and the public, and step in early when something is not right.
• Drive quality, productivity and environmental standards across all sites under your supervision.
• Build strong relationships with customers, stakeholders, the local community and your team, while supporting crew development and performance.

Kei te kimi mātou i tētahi e whai ana i ēnei pūkenga | We’re looking for someone with

• At least 5 years’ supervisory leadership experience, ideally in road maintenance, civil construction or maintenance contracts.
• 10+ years’ experience in civil construction and maintenance, with strong operational know-how.
• Full Class 1 and 2 licences with WTR endorsements. Class 4 is highly regarded.
• Experience using AWM along with great Word and Excel skills.
• Strong planning, organisation, communication and relationship-building skills, with a practical, safety-first and team-focused approach.
