Enterprise Job Description:
The Consumer Investment (CI) Client Service and Relationship Management (CICS&RM) Supervision Manager position will serve to ensure regulatory compliance and corporate mandates for all administrative and operational activities performed in the CI Self-Directed space. Merrill is a telephone-based platform that provides mass affluent clients with holistic financial advice and deepens client relationships by identifying broader product and service solutions to meet their investment, savings and credit needs. A predominant objective of the position is to limit risk and financial exposure to the business unit and the Firm and supervise the front-line units’ overall adherence to Firm policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

Primary responsibilities of the Onboarding & Managed Product Supervision Manager include (but are not limited to) the following:

  • Partner closely with CICS&RM leadership to communicate trends and resolve any escalations that may arise
  • Review and approve various activities while determining appropriateness within the Self-Direct space
  • Reference policy or procedures to assist associates with questions
  • Provide backup coverage, as needed, when peers are out of the office or capacity needs arise
  • Demonstrate organization in completing day-to-day responsibilities
  • Maintain a positive attitude, commitment to excel and passion for supervision in all tasks completed

Additional responsibilities may include (but are not limited to) the following:

  • Partner closely with other lines of business-related questions and requests
  • Escalate trends identified in their reviews and leverage peers across other lines of business to resolve
  • Join or lead initiatives and process improvement opportunities
  • Assist with training, coaching, and the preparation/approval of associates and Supervision resources (as needed)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience

  • Must have FINRA Series 7, 8 or 9/10, 63/65 or 66 to be considered for the role (in lieu of the 8 or 9/10 we could consider candidates holding all of the following licenses:  4, 24, and 53)

  • Proven ability to manage risk and make sound decisions by having a deep understanding of industry regulations, supervisory requirements, and policies/procedures

  • Ability to identify client needs and concerns, and coach advisors on aligning solutions to goals in a suitable and controlled way

  • Strong analytical skills to identify client needs and concerns, and coach advisors on aligning solutions to goals in a suitable and controlled way.

  • Identifies emerging risks and rends in processes and escalates appropriately

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Desired Qualifications:

Familiarity with compliance and regulatory issues

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

Merrill Edge, Merrill Lynch, or Operations experience        

Required Qualifications:

Licenses needed at hire: FINRA Series 7, 66, 9/10 or equivalent required

Pay and benefits information

Pay range

$88,000.00 - $103,600.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

Discretionary incentive eligible

This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan. Employees are eligible for an annual discretionary award based on their overall individual performance results and behaviors, the performance and contributions of their line of business and/or group; and the overall success of the Company.
