Site Superintendent Warehouse Distribution Operations – Sulfur
Location: Galveston, Texas
Work Arrangement: Onsite
Schedule: Site operates 24/7/365; eligible for a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off
As the Site Superintendent for Sulfur Warehouse Distribution Operations, you will play a key role in leading the people, processes, and operations that keep sulfur moving safely and efficiently through Mosaic's Galveston facility. This role oversees warehouse distribution activities supporting inbound and outbound shipments while fostering a culture of safety, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. You will help develop a high-performing team, support operational reliability, and lead initiatives that enhance efficiency and performance in a complex industrial and maritime environment. What You'll Do
Lead and support employees across sulfur warehouse and distribution operations, creating an environment where safety, teamwork, and accountability drive results.
Coach, mentor, and develop team members through performance management, career development, and ongoing training to strengthen organizational capability.
Oversee inbound and outbound sulfur distribution activities, including receiving, storage, loading, and shipping operations.
Champion a strong safety culture by facilitating monthly safety meetings, reviewing incidents and near misses with employees, and reinforcing safe work practices across the site.
Partner with employees, contractors, and operational stakeholders to identify and implement process improvements that enhance safety, efficiency, and operational performance.
Lead capital improvement projects and operational initiatives that support the long-term success of the facility.
Ensure employees and contractors maintain required training and qualifications to perform work safely and effectively.
What You'll Need
High School Diploma or GED.
5+ years of experience operating or managing a plant in the fertilizer industry, chemical industry, and/or a heavy industrial environment.
Experience leading teams responsible for material operations and maintenance activities.
Demonstrated experience operating and maintaining industrial equipment.
Ability to effectively lead, train, and develop team members.
Proficiency with Microsoft 365.
Bonus Points If You Have the Following
Bachelor's degree in Operations, Management, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience with hazardous materials management.
Working knowledge of maritime regulations and requirements.
Experience managing capital projects in the $2 million range.
