About the Role

We are seeking a strategic and forward-thinking Innovation Insights Lead to shape the future growth agenda for our Wellness portfolio, spanning Vitamins, Minerals & Supplements (VMS) and Digestive Health.

This leader will drive the consumer learning strategy that powers innovation, partnering across Innovation, Marketing, R&D, and Commercial teams to identify breakthrough growth opportunities, build innovation frameworks, and embed in world-class decision-making capabilities.

The role combines consumer strategy, innovation leadership, foresight, and modern insights practices to accelerate the development of winning innovations. The Innovation Insights Lead will champion new approaches to learning, leveraging advanced research methodologies, AI-enabled insights, and agile experimentation to increase confidence in innovation decisions, improve forecast accuracy, and strengthen commercial success.

Role Responsibilities

Shape the Innovation Growth Agenda

• Identify emerging consumer needs, unmet opportunities, cultural shifts, and category trends to inform long-term growth strategies.
• Build innovation frameworks, opportunity platforms, and strategic roadmaps that guide portfolio investment decisions.
• Define innovation principles, success criteria, and guardrails that improve the quality and consistency of decision making.
• Partner with senior leaders to influence innovation priorities and shape future growth platforms.

Build Best-in-Class Innovation Capabilities

• Design and evolve an end-to-end innovation learning ecosystem, including testing frameworks, stage-gates, action standards, and decision architectures.
• Establish scalable approaches to evaluating concepts, propositions, claims, product experiences, packaging, and communications.
• Advance modern consumer learning capabilities through agile experimentation, AI enabled methodologies, and next-generation insights tools.
• Drive a culture of rapid learning, evidence-based decision making, and continuous optimization.

Lead Insight-Led Business Decisions

• Translate complex data and learning into clear, actionable recommendations that influence critical business decisions.
• Integrate multiple sources of consumer, market, and business intelligence into a holistic understanding of growth opportunities.
• Improve innovation effectiveness, forecast accuracy, and commercial outcomes through stronger consumer-centric decision making.
• Identify risks early and drive course corrections across the innovation portfolio.

Inspire Teams and Influence Across the Organization

• Lead and develop a high-performing Innovation Insights talent (1 direct report).
• Act as the voice of the consumer in senior leadership discussions.
• Build strong partnerships across global and local stakeholders to drive alignment and learning adoption.
• Establish best practices, standards, and ways of working that elevate innovation excellence across the organization.

Basic Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• 10+ years of experience in innovation insights, consumer strategy, innovation consulting, foresight, or growth strategy within CPG, healthcare, wellness, or adjacent industries

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced Degree.
• Proven experience shaping innovation strategy, portfolio growth agendas, and whitespace opportunity identification.
• Demonstrated expertise building innovation frameworks, learning systems, and stage-gate decision models.
• Experience modernizing consumer learning capabilities through agile experimentation, AI-enabled insights tools, and advanced testing approaches.
• Track record of translating emerging consumer trends and future market signals into actionable innovation platforms.

Location: This role is hybrid-based in Berkeley Heights, NJ with 3 in-office days required.

The salary range for this role is: $148,648 - $204,390 plus an 18% target bonus.
