Contexte 

La Product Line Secure Transaction & Identification basée en France à Caen et Mougins, mais également en Autriche, États-Unis et Asie, assure la conception de circuits intégrés pour le marché de la téléphonie mobile et des montres connectées.

Nos équipes conçoivent des puces microélectroniques de communication sans contact utilisant les technologies Near Field Communication (NFC), Ultra-WideBand (UWB) et Wi-INT.

Nous recrutons un ou une stagiaire pour une durée de 6 mois afin de faire évoluer nos outils d’analyse de données utilisés pour caractériser les circuits intégrés produits et testés à l’échelle industrielle.

Afin de pouvoir garantir la conformité des composants aux spécifications, des tests exhaustifs sont effectués dans une multitude de conditions de fonctionnement.

L’analyse des résultats de ces tests est un enjeu crucial pour garantir les performances industrielles et minimiser le temps nécessaire à l’identification et résolution des problématiques rencontrées.

Au sein d’une équipe mixte d’ingénieurs produits (PE) d’horizons variés, aux compétences complémentaires, experts en microélectronique analogique et numérique ainsi qu’en analyse exploratoire des données, ce stage est une immersion totale dans un domaine technologique de pointe et d’importance géostratégique majeure. 

Vos missions 

Vous serez en charge du développement d’un outil d’analyse de données automatisant la caractérisation des circuits intégrés, incluant un processus de préparation des données de test récoltées, leur analyse statistique, et leur validation par rapport aux spécifications client.

Le processus de préparation des données sera à développer intégralement en Python avec Polars, et la gestion des spécifications reposera sur le déploiement d’un encodage sémantique (embedding) alimentant la génération à enrichissement contextuel (RAG) d’un grand modèle de langage (LLM).

Vous aurez à communiquer de manière fréquente en anglais avec les ingénieurs produit d’Europe et d’Asie, pour implémenter une solution correspondant à leur besoin. 

Votre profil

• Bac +5, dernière année d’école d’ingénieur en électronique, mathématiques statistiques ou informatique. 

• Connaissances en analyse exploratoire des données et implémentation d’algorithmes statistiques. Vous avez déjà réalisé un projet utilisant Python 3 et êtes familier de son utilisation pour du traitement de données. 

• Des connaissances en microélectronique et/ou analyse statistique de distributions multimodales sont un plus. 

• Un très bon niveau d’anglais technique est exigé, l’équipe est internationale et l’utilise pour toute communication. Toutes les documentations existantes et à produire seront également en anglais.

The Secure Transaction & Identification Product Line, based in Caen and Mougins, France, as well as in Austria, the United States, and Asia, is responsible for the design of integrated circuits for the mobile phone and smartwatch markets.

Our teams develop microelectronic chips for contactless communication using Near Field Communication (NFC), Ultra-Wideband (UWB), and Wi-INT technologies.

We are recruiting a 6-month intern to improve our data analysis tools used for the characterization of integrated circuits manufactured and tested at industrial scale.

To ensure compliance with product specifications, extensive testing is performed under a wide range of operating conditions.

The analysis of these test results is critical to ensure industrial performance and minimize the time required to identify and resolve issues.

As part of a multidisciplinary team of Product Engineers (PEs) with diverse backgrounds and complementary expertise in analog and digital microelectronics as well as data science, this internship offers full immersion in a cutting-edge technological field with major geopolitical stakes. 

Your missions

You will be responsible for developing a data analysis tool that automates integrated circuit characterization, including: pre-processing of collected test data, statistical analysis of the resulting datasets, and validation of device performance against customer specifications.

The data processing pipeline workflow will be developed entirely in Python using Polars. Specification management will rely on the deployment of semantic embeddings supporting Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) for a Large Language Model (LLM).

You will interact frequently in English with Product Engineers located across Europe and Asia to implement solutions that address their needs and requirements. 

Your profile

• Master's degree (Bac +5), final year of an Engineering School program in Electronics, Statistics/Mathematics, or Computer Science. 

• Knowledge of data science and the implementation of statistical algorithms. 

• Hands-on experience with Python 3 through one or more projects, with familiarity in data processing and analysis applications. 

• Knowledge of microelectronics and/or statistical analysis of multimodal distributions would be considered a plus. 

• A strong command of technical English is required.

The team is international and uses English for all communications.

All existing and future documentation will also be written in English.
