We’re looking for a Staff NPI Engineer (New Product Introductions) to join our Mechanical Engineering team at PSA. This is a high-impact, cross-functional role at the center of PSA’s product development and manufacturing operations — responsible for qualifying parts, standing up new tooling, and ensuring flawless design transfer to domestic and international suppliers with a focus on plastics and injection molding experience.

You’ll report to the Mechanical Engineering Manager and work from our Santa Ana, CA office.

Onsite Requirement:

This role requires you to be onsite in the office 5 days per week. 

What You'll Do:

• Own the global part qualification process end-to-end, driving cycle time and removing bottlenecks

• Lead implementation of new injection molding tool sets from kick-off through production release

• Manage new design transfers to domestic and international offices, ensuring process requirements are validated before handoff

• Partner with product development and operations to execute smooth NPI handoffs from DFM through first article

• Define and deploy global standards of work for NPI, building repeatable playbooks across all supplier sites

Who You Are:

• 8 or more years in NPI, manufacturing engineering, or product launch roles in a high-precision, high-volume environment

• Proven experience managing large-scale plastics and injection molding tooling programs

• Experience with ultrasonic welding is highly desirable.

• Fluent in PPAP/FAI, GD&T, and supplier qualification processes

• Strong cross-functional project management skills; able to hold global suppliers to schedule and quality commitments

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering (or related field)

Salary Range: 

The salary range for this position is $125,000 - $169,000. Actual compensation on this range varies based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including location, job level, experience, and skill set.
