Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented, self-motivated Staff Accountant to join our team in Boca Raton, FL. Reporting directly to the Controller, this role combines core general ledger responsibilities with end-to-end management of accounts payable. The ideal candidate is a fast learner who is eager to expand their skills, leverage new technologies—including helping implement AI for process automation—and advance within the company. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment, work well independently, and collaborate seamlessly across departments—including Asset Management, Post-Closing, and Legal—to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
Requirements
Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required
- Intermediate to advanced level proficiency in Excel
- Familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or similar systems)
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks
- Excited to learn and takes direction well
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve discrepancies efficiently
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal with a positive and growth focused mindset
Responsibilities:
- Process day-to-day financial transactions, prepare journal entries, perform bank ledger reconciliations, and support the facilitation of month-end closing procedures.
- Assist with yearly audit
- Assist with technological transitions
- Oversee full-cycle AP processes to ensure accurate, compliant, and timely vendor payments.
- Work closely with Legal, Asset Management, and Post-Closing teams to verify billing accuracy, resolve discrepancies, and support interdepartmental workflows.
- Exercise sound judgment and discretion in handling sensitive financial records while maintaining high attention to detail.
- Assist with other aspects of accounting as requested
