What You'll Do

SimpliSafe is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Operations Engineering team. In this role, you'll design, implement, and maintain the systems and APIs that power our:

• Customer Experience Platform
• Privacy Compliance tooling
• Cross-organization technical initiatives, partnering with other engineering teams to drive improvements beyond your immediate team's scope

What You'll Bring

• 5+ years of professional software development experience, ideally full-stack
• Proven ability to design and ship production web applications and/or services independently
• Strong experience building Node.js microservices
• Hands-on experience with AWS
• Experience with Angular, React, or a comparable modern frontend framework
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar
• Solid working knowledge of both SQL and NoSQL databases
• Curiosity and a genuine interest in learning new technologies
• Comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively on a team
• A mindset that values building new things as much as maintaining what already exists

The target annual base pay range for this role is $117,000 to $156,000.

This target annual base pay range represents our good-faith estimate of what we expect to pay for this role. We use a market-based compensation approach to set our target annual base pay ranges and make adjustments annually. We carefully tailor individual compensation packages, including base pay, taking into consideration employees’ job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and other relevant business factors.
