Job Description:
The Senior Manager NOC Charters supports Charter Operations by providing Leadership and oversight for Southwest’s charter and non‑scheduled flight operations. They’ll Lead a Team responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing charter missions, ensuring safe, efficient, and seamless operations from contract execution through flight completion. They’ll drive strategy, operational performance, and continuous improvement while partnering across operational Teams to deliver exceptional service and support business growth. The Senior Manager NOC Charters leverages strong Leadership, collaboration, and problem‑solving skills to ensure operational excellence, enhance the Customer experience, and support repeat charter business.

Responsibilities
Conduct bi-monthly strategy meetings with Charter partners
Coordinate all aspects of the Southwest Airlines Charter Operation by ensuring all departments involved in the Charter Operation are working cohesively
Develop and deliver presentations to internal Southwest departments and leadership development programs on behalf of the Charters Department
Support the Charter program to maximize revenue, yield, and aircraft utilization in support of Charter operations
Facilitate coordination of all Charter logistics to ensure charter flights are executed successfully
Act as key point of contact for Southwest Internal Department Leaders for all charter operations
Liaison with Charter Business to fulfill all charter operational needs for contracted flights
Provide friendly service to and maintain positive relationships with all Internal and External Charter Customers
Work collaboratively during high demand periods with Network Planning, MX Planning, and NOC to secure additional aircraft
Participate as a Subject Matter Expert for all non-scheduled flight movements
May perform other job duties as directed by Employee’s Leaders
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources
Knowledge of principles and processes for providing Customer and personal services, including Customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of Customer satisfaction
Knowledge of principles and methods for moving people or goods by air, rail, sea, or road, including the relative costs and benefits
Skilled in understanding and applying information to contribute to the organization’s strategic plan
Skilled in monitoring/assessing performance of yourself, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action
Ability to combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions (includes finding a relationship among unrelated events)
Ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand
Ability to draft procedural communication in plain language to ensure successful process outcomes
Education
Required: High School Diploma or GED
Experience
Demonstrated experience in directly or indirectly leading team(s)
Fully functioning, broad knowledge in aviation, commercial operations, and/or direct or indirect charter operations
Preferred: Understanding of W&B
Preferred: Knowledge of AOSSP and PCSSP
Preferred: Knowledge of Part 91 movements
Preferred: Knowledge of Southwest Operating procedures

Physical Abilities
Ability to perform work duties from [limited space workstation/desk/office area] for extended periods of time
Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job
Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job

Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines
Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines
Pay & Benefits
Must be eligible for a competitive market salary ranging from $145,600 - $161,800 per year*, based on qualifications and experience, with opportunities for future pay increases based on performance and market movement
For eligible Leadership and Individual Contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities may be available and are awarded at the discretion of the Company
