We are currently looking for a SR IS Data Architect to join our team in Mexico City. The Sr. Solutions Architect role at Nissan is a senior-level IT position focused on designing secure, scalable, and cost-efficient application and solutions, driving digital transformation, and leading cloud migrations while ensuring compliance and operational excellence.

A Day in the Life:   

• Owns architecture for more than one application.
• Provides design solutions to new projects. 
• Collaborates with IS delivery leads and product owners to provide technical solutions.
• Have designs reviewed by ERB. 
• Provide solutions strictly adhering to enterprise security, compliance and legal standards.
• Provide solutions strictly adhering to enterprise design patterns and industry best practices.
• Continuously provides solutions to improve application security, performance, resiliency, scalability, automation, maintainability and cost savings.
• Drives digital transformation of legacy applications.
• Leads cloud migrations of applications on data center.
• Works with DevOps team for provisioning of infrastructure and CICD pipelines.
• Provides guidance and support for test automation, pen tests, performance and chaos tests. 
• Troubleshoot and provide solutions to production issues.
• Drives test automation, pen tests, performance and chaos tests. 
• Provides guidance and direction to developers on secure coding standards and vulnerability remediation
• Promotes operational excellence through stable, supportable solutions
• Supports operational readiness by using standard coding practices, supported platforms and components, and inclusive of monitoring tools/ solutions in designs

Who We’re Looking for:

Required:

• Bachelor’s Degree. Fields: Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related.
• 5 - 7+ years of experience in IT.
• 3+ years of experience in Architecture.
• 3+ years of experience of cloud, preferably AWS.
• 3+ years of hands-on (or equivalent experience) web or mobile application design and development (frontend), preferably in Angular, React, Swift or Kotlin.
• 3+ years of experience of hands-on API/microservices design and development (backend), preferably in Node.js, Python or Java.
• Hands-on experience with various developer and dev ops tools.
• Solid knowledge of RDBMS and/or NoSQL databases (Key-Value, Document, Graph, Cache etc.).
• Solid understanding of various authentication and authorization frameworks.
• Solid knowledge of API Managers or Gateways.
• Solid knowledge of messaging and streaming services like Kafka, Active MQ, Rabbit MQ, SQS, SNS.
• Solid knowledge of DevOps and CICD concepts.
• Experience of working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert Google Professional Cloud Architect 
• Highly skilled in designing highly resilient, highly scalable, cost efficient, highly secure and easily maintainable application solutions.
• Expertise in troubleshooting various technical issues. Able to quickly troubleshoot production issues and provide solutions. 
• Prior experience in digital transformation and cloud migration.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• English - Advanced

Desired:

• Any other Relevant Certifications such as:TOGAF (The Open Group Architecture Framework) for enterprise architecture.
• CISSP or other security certifications for architects working in regulated industries.
• AWS Certified Data Engineer.
