Senior Associate, Surgical Field Sales - Intraocular Lenses (IOLs)

As a Senior Associate, Surgical Field Sales supporting Alcon's Surgical Sales team, you will be trusted to grow and develop the assigned territory across Mexico City, Hidalgo, and the State of Mexico. The role is based in Mexico City, where approximately 75% of the current accounts are located, and includes variable field travel based on customer and operating-room needs. In this role, a typical day will include:

• Achieving monthly and quarterly total-revenue targets while identifying opportunities to improve territory performance.
• Developing new business and strengthening relationships across the full clinic ecosystem, including physicians, nursing teams, purchasing teams, and commercial stakeholders.
• Promoting Alcon surgical ophthalmic products through consultative selling, product demonstrations, customer visits, and account support.
• Providing in-person support in the operating room and coordinating effectively with multidisciplinary clinical teams.
• Maintaining accurate customer and sales activity information, monitoring competitor activity, and using data to support territory planning.
  
  

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:

• Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Optometry, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in field sales, medical devices, surgical sales, ophthalmology, or a comparable clinical-commercial environment.
• Intermediate English proficiency, including the ability to complete training delivered in English.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and comfort discussing commercial metrics and revenue performance.
• Strong collaboration, assertive communication, customer relationship management, and a solution-oriented “how can we make it work” mindset.
• Experience with intraocular lenses (IOLs) is desirable but not required; comfort working in operating-room environments is important.
