The Senior Asset Accountant supports accounting and financial management for large-scale wind, solar and battery-storage operations, working with multiple internal and external teams to ensure accurate reporting, compliance, and efficient asset accounting processes.

Responsibilities

·         Oversee full-cycle accounting functions for assigned assets, ensuring accuracy, policy compliance, GAAP adherence, and regulatory compliance.

·         Produce accurate and timely monthly financial reports for assigned assets.

·         Prepare reports and documentation for third-party partners and external audits.

·         Partner with Asset Managers, FP&A and business teams to support monthly and quarterly reporting.

·         Support and complete month-end and year-end close processes.

·         Review the classification accuracy of vendor and subcontractor invoices.

·         Perform financial variance analysis.

·         Perform balance sheet reconciliation

·         Support production of quarterly and annual financial statements.

·         Establish and maintain accounting processes.

·         Other duties as assigned

Requirements

·         BS degree in Accounting or Finance

·         5+ years of accounting experience, covering multiple areas of accounting including reporting

·         Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases

·         Netsuite and Onestream experience preferred

·         Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations

·         High attention to detail and accuracy

·         Excellent oral and written communication skills

·         Ability to work independently

·         Strong work ethic and high work standards

·         Must have strong organizational capacity to simultaneously manage multiple assets with competing deadlines and be able to quickly adapt to changes and shift priorities to meet asset needs and deadlines
