Job OverviewEvery new AI idea at T-Mobile — a vendor tool, a custom application, a model built on company data — comes through AI Hub, and you'll be the first expert to look at it. You'll work out what the technology does, what data it touches and what could go wrong, then decide which partner teams need to weigh in — SOX, TPRM, Cyber, Data Privacy or Legal — and get it to them quickly.
This isn't a hand-off job. The partner teams own the approvals; your judgment decides whether they see the right requests, with the right context, the first time. When a request is too complex or too risky to settle at intake, you'll know it and escalate it. You don't need to be an expert in every one of those areas on day one, but you'll build a working knowledge of each and strong relationships with the people who run them.
You'll see more of T-Mobile's AI work than almost anyone. Over time, that view will shape the AI governance standards and controls the company runs on, and the evidence that shows they work.
Job Responsibilities:
- Evaluate each AI intake: the technology, the data it uses, and the risks it could pose
- Engage SOX, TPRM, Cyber, Data Privacy, Legal, and other teams as appropriate, for review and approval when a request needs it, and escalate high-complexity or high-risk requests to APEX leadership and the AI governance bodies
- Collaborate with IT and partner teams to analyze impacts, identify risks, and communicate status to stakeholders and management
- Keep intake records complete and accurate so the AI inventory and AI Hub records reflect what was requested and decided
- Contribute to AI governance standards and controls, and pull audit evidence when requested
- Also responsible for other duties/projects as assigned by business management as needed

- Experience evaluating technology requests, vendor solutions or projects for risk in an enterprise intake, architecture review or governance function (Preferred)
- Working knowledge of how SOX, third-party risk, cybersecurity, data privacy or legal reviews apply to technology or AI systems (Preferred)
- Hands-on familiarity with AI and generative AI systems, including models, agents and retrieval, and how they use data (Preferred)
- Experience contributing to standards, controls or audit evidence (Preferred)
