A Day in the Life:     

The responsibilities listed are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties for this role. Additional tasks may be assigned, as needed, to support business objectives. 

• Work with suppliers on idea creation and  monitor progress towards implementation.
• Champion changes by understanding vehicle impacts of changes and gaining engineering approval to proceed with release and adoption.
• Manage engineering validation plans at the vehicle-level.
• Act as leader to drive final agreement on amount of savings for cost reduction proposals ( this is an engineering function)
• Oversee horizontal deployment of cross carline cost reduction actions
• Acquire tooling budget for cost reductions (engineering function)
• Help to ensure accuracy of Cost Reduction Database reporting.  

Who We’re Looking for:  

Required: 

• 4- year degree.
• Ability to communicate effectively, strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence others. Demonstrated ability to lead others and have a demonstrated history for taking proactive approach
• Strong interest in saving money and quantifying economic benefit.
