Sourcing Specialist Packaging Materials – m/f/d

In this role you'll create value across our supplier network while ensuring uninterrupted supply of critical materials and services. You'll collaborate with stakeholders across manufacturing, engineering, quality, and planning teams to optimize our supply chain and support continuous improvement, also internal procurement processes. This position offers excellent opportunities for professional growth while contributing to scientific advances.  

Your responsibilities:

• Managing supplier portfolios and ensuring continuity of supply for critical materials and services
• Aligning sourcing and supplier activities with business and operational requirements
• Negotiating contracts, commercial terms, and supplier agreements
• Identifying and implementing cost-saving and cost-optimization initiatives
• Building and maintaining strategic supplier relationships
• Monitoring supplier performance and driving continuous improvement
• Analyzing market intelligence, supplier markets, and sourcing opportunities
• Ensuring on-time delivery of materials to meet production requirements
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and Planning
• Optimizing supply chain processes and mitigating supply risks
• Supporting internal procurement processes and procurement-related activities
• Identifying opportunities to improve procurement efficiency and effectiveness
• Driving strategic sourcing initiatives in close collaboration with Corporate and other API manufacturing sites

Your qualifications:

• Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field preferred
• Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is a plus
• Good analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and Microsoft Office
• Experience in supplier management, sourcing, and RFx processes
• Good project coordination and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Fluent German and excellent English skills; additional languages are a plus
• Basic understanding of market analysis and supply risk management
• Knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma and GMP/ISO is a plus
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Remuneration will be according to the collective agreement for the chemical industry (KV der Chem. Industrie). The annual salary for this position is €60.977,70 minimum. A higher salary is possible, depending upon qualifications and experience.
