Overview

The Solution Engineer (SE) is the technical bridge between our Sales Representatives and their pre-sales customers and an integral part of the Account Team. The SE will take ownership of the prime technical pre-sales relationship with our customers to help close business by proactively managing and delivering technical information to our customers both onsite, online, and via telephone.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with customers to understand their challenges and present tailored solutions based on the Trend AI platform and services portfolio that address their desired business outcome and complex technical needs.
• Lead Proof-of-Concept (PoC) engagements, helping customers plan and successfully implement Trend AI solutions.
• Provide expert guidance on Trend AI products in a pre-sales context while working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
• Build and maintain strong technical relationships with customers and prospects, working closely with internal Sales, Channel, and Partner teams.
• Design and support cloud and security architectures, offering innovative solutions to customer challenges.
• Partner with technology vendors and customers to drive strategic alliances and strengthen partnerships.
• Share best practices with the European Solution Engineering team community to enhance overall efficiency and technical expertise.
• Proactively manage technical relationships with customers and prospects while collaborating with internal Sales, Marketing and Partner teams as needed.
• Contribute to the SE Readiness Program and develop subject matter expertise in defined solutions areas.
• Willingness to travel regionally (approximately 30-35%) for customer presentations, marketing and user group events, and urgent on-site customer support.

Qualifications

• We are looking for a candidate with drive, enthusiasm, with a strong work ethic & a desire to learn and develop their career within cyber security!
• If you are early in your career path, but have great experience within Cyber Security as an architect, developer, network or systems engineer, or similar, but interested in growing and developing a career in Solution Engineering, then we would love to hear from you!
• We are also taking applications from more experienced Solution Engineers or Security Specialists who have:3+ years SE experience and/or professional services experience3+ years’ experience in computer software or systems including security products (firewalls, antivirus, intrusion detection, content security)Experience working with multi-cloud environments such AWS, Azure or GCP2+ years SOC or IR Experience an advantage

Desired Experience & Qualifications

• Experience in Pre-Sales with knowledge of value-based selling, consultative selling, and solution architecture.
• ITIL v3 or later certification (preferred).
• Relevant cybersecurity certifications such as CEH, CompTIA Security+, or CISSP (preferred, but not a must).
• Strong understanding of cloud architectures, with AWS certifications being a plus.
• Basic knowledge of security incidents, network administration, and security solution management (e.g., endpoint/server protection, web/email filtering, IPS).
• Experience with scripting and automation using Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
• Strong time management skills and ability to work independently.
• A fast learner with a proactive approach to new tools and technologies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, customer service, and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage diverse clients effectively.
