Eon is building a new category around cloud backup data. We help enterprises turn their backup infrastructure into searchable, accessible, and AI-ready data — across the cloud environments they already use.

We’re a high-growth company backed by Sequoia, Lightspeed, Greenoaks, BOND, and Elad Gil. Our team includes the founders of CloudEndure, and we’re building the company at a stage where small teams can still have an outsized impact.

We’re looking for a Growth Engineer to help us find new, technical ways to create demand and distribution.

The role

This is not a traditional marketing engineering role.

You’ll sit inside the growth team and use software, AI, data, APIs, automation, and product mechanics to build new ways for Eon to reach the right customers and create pipeline.

You’ll build the systems behind our growth engine: automation, AI agents, data pipelines, web experiences, internal tools, experiments, and new distribution channels. You’ll also look for opportunities that don’t look like traditional campaigns — things we can build once and have compound over time.

This is the first Growth Engineer at Eon. You’ll have significant ownership over what gets built, what gets tested, and where we invest our technical effort. The systems and playbooks you create will become the foundation for a larger growth team.

What you’ll do

Build Eon’s growth engine

• Identify and build AI and automation use cases that make our demand generation and pipeline generation faster and more scalable.

• Build workflows and agents using tools such as Claude, Clay, LLM APIs, and custom code.

• Connect data across Salesforce, HubSpot, Gong, our website, product data, and third-party sources to identify signals and trigger actions.

• Build systems that help the growth team research accounts, identify intent, personalize outreach, launch experiments, and measure results.

• Build and automate parts of our paid acquisition infrastructure, including audience creation, campaign setup, and optimization across LinkedIn and Google.

• Own the technical side of eon.io — from page architecture and personalization to experimentation and CRO infrastructure.

• Build tools that make it dramatically cheaper and faster to test new GTM ideas.

• Work closely with Marketing and Revenue Operations. They own our core systems; you build new capabilities on top of them.

Find new ways to create demand

• Find technical opportunities for Eon to reach cloud, infrastructure, data, and security teams in ways our competitors aren’t.

• Build free tools, calculators, benchmarks, datasets, and technical resources that our target customers actually want to use and share.

• Turn Eon’s technical expertise and product capabilities into things people can experience rather than just read about.

• Build distribution through developer communities, technical ecosystems, integrations, marketplaces, and other channels.

• Experiment with referral, sharing, and product-led mechanics that can create compounding distribution.

• Identify emerging AI platforms, APIs, developer ecosystems, and other channels before they become crowded.

• Prototype quickly, measure what works, kill what doesn’t, and double down on the signals.

What you bring

• 3+ years building and shipping production software.

• Strong coding skills and the ability to take an idea from zero to production independently.

• Experience with Python and/or TypeScript, APIs, webhooks, and SQL.

• Deep, hands-on experience with AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or equivalent.

• Experience building with LLM APIs, agents, or AI-powered workflows.

• A strong understanding of how systems connect — APIs, data, automation, web, and third-party platforms.

• A builder mindset: you like figuring things out yourself, moving quickly, and learning by shipping.

• Curiosity about growth, distribution, marketing, and how companies acquire customers.

• Evidence that you’ve built something outside of your core job that people actually used, whether it’s a product, tool, open-source project, automation, or technical experiment.

Nice to have

• Experience with Salesforce, HubSpot, Gong, ad platform APIs, or marketing automation.

• Experience with growth, marketing, GTM, or developer relations.

• Experience building tools or products for technical audiences.

• A presence or reputation in a technical community.

• Experience in cloud infrastructure, data, backup, security, or adjacent markets.
