Software Engineer – Platform as a Service (PaaS)

Meet the Team 

You will join the Platform as a Service (PaaS) team, the backbone of our digital infrastructure. We manage a diverse ecosystem of platforms, including API Gateways like Mule and Mashery, messaging systems like Kafka, and other middleware systems. As a member of this team, you will help build and enhance internal platform capabilities that enable development teams to onboard, operate, and monitor services efficiently.

Your Impact 

You will contribute across the full-stack lifecycle of our platform offerings. From implementing user-facing platform portals and dashboards to building backend services that support our middleware platforms, your work will directly improve developer experience and platform reliability. You will collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional partners to deliver high-quality features, follow engineering best practices, and grow your skills in cloud-native platform development.

• Full Stack Development: Build and enhance platform portals and dashboards using modern frontend frameworks (React or Angular) and backend services (Python and/or Go), delivering intuitive experiences for internal platform consumers.

• Backend Services: Develop and maintain REST APIs and microservices that support platform workflows, integrations, and operational tooling.

• Platform Support: Contribute to PaaS offerings including API Gateways (Mashery, Mule) and Kafka-based messaging, working within established architecture and standards.

• Operational Excellence: Participate in CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Argo CD, and Argo Workflows, and support Kubernetes-based deployments.

• Quality & Collaboration: Write clean, testable code, participate in code reviews, and work closely with infrastructure, SRE, and engineering teams.
• Production Support: Assist with troubleshooting, defect resolution, and on-call support for platform services as needed.

Minimum Qualifications: 

• 3+ years of software engineering experience with hands-on full-stack development across frontend and backend technologies.

• Experience building web applications using React or Angular, with solid understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.

• Proficiency in Python and/or Go for backend service development, including REST API design and implementation.

• Experience working with relational or document databases such as PostgreSQL or MongoDB.

• Familiarity with CI/CD practices and containerized deployments (e.g., Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes).

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with platform engineering, API Gateways (e.g., Mashery, Mule), or messaging systems (Kafka).

• Exposure to AI/ML or GenAI tooling (e.g., LLMs, LangChain, RAG, or automation for operational workflows).

• Experience with observability, monitoring, and debugging production distributed systems.

• Understanding of microservices architecture, event-driven design, and cloud-native patterns.

• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative, global team environment.
