About the role:

Gartner is seeking a full-time SugarCRM Developer to join our Sales Service and Corporate Engineering team. In this role, you will design and develop customized solutions within SugarCRM, taking responsibility for SugarCRM development, API customization, and debugging to introduce new features and maintain the existing codebase.

What you will do:

• Analyze requirements and propose one or more solutions using SugarCRM best practices.
• Execute hands-on solution design, proof-of-concepts, development, and testing to support implementation activities.
• Design, develop, and customize SugarCRM solutions in line with business needs.
• Manage critical customer cases and ensure thorough case documentation.
• Collaborate with a cross-functional SCRUM team to maintain and enhance the SugarCRM application.
• Research and identify opportunities to apply SugarCRM best practices and guidelines to improve system scalability, productivity, and monitoring.
• Participate in code reviews, peer inspections, and technical design/specification discussions.
• Handle incidents and resolutions with a focus on root cause analysis.

What you will need:

Professionals with 2–4 years of hands-on experience in SugarCRM development, API customization, and debugging. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in SugarCRM, PHP, MySQL, Docker Desktop, and caching technologies such as ElastiCache and Redis. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ownership, and accountability are essential.

Must have:

• 2–4 years of hands-on experience in SugarCRM development, API customization, and debugging.
• Proficient in SugarCRM, PHP, MySQL, Docker Desktop, TDD (Test Driven Development) and caching solutions like ElastiCache & Redis.
• In-depth knowledge of SugarCRM applications, including configuration, scheduling, reporting, administration, upgrade and database design.
• Experience working with RESTful APIs and web services.
• Strong foundation in software development and object-oriented design.

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with deployment techniques and change management processes.
• Exposure to cloud services such as AWS (EC2, RDS, Code Deploy, CloudBees, SQS, Lambda) and programming languages like Python.
• Experience in Salesforce development and relevant certifications (e.g., Salesforce Platform Developer, Administrator).

Who you are:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Understanding of system scope and project objectives to ensure robust system design, build, and testing.
• Ability to work independently or collaboratively within a fast-paced AGILE-SCRUM environment.
• Eagerness to continuously improve software development skills, frameworks, and technologies.
