Role: Social Media Manager
Location: Mumbai, India
About the role:
- Working in true collaboration with our client, we have one goal in mind: ‘to be the leading agency partner for the development of stunning and effective Needs based content and digital media campaigns’.
- These brands are at the forefront of contemporary thinking, utilising in-depth insight for digital strategy and content advertising. They are also dedicated to sustainability and foregrounding a brand purpose, which means the work we do with them requires working creative thinking into every brief, regardless of scale.
- We are currently looking to hire a Social Media Manager with 4+ years experience to manage social channels for a top beauty client.
- The successful candidate will have a strong background of working with digital and social agencies, and must excel in producing engaging and creative social media and digital work, across planning, strategy and media.
- An editorial background and creative skills such as Photoshop would be an advantage.
The role will support one of India’s leading beauty and cosmetics brands, working across its diverse product portfolio.
What you will be doing:
- Own the end-to-end management of content for the brand across social media, e-commerce and website, while building an engaged and active community
- Be hands-on with content creation, including capturing high-quality social content using a phone and being comfortable appearing on camera
- Drive follower growth across social media channels and YouTube through platform-specific content, community engagement, influencer collaboration, online reputation management and performance optimisation
- Translate brand and campaign objectives into long-term social strategies and actionable channel plans
- Monitor competitors, audience behaviour, platform developments, cultural conversations, and emerging trends to identify relevant content opportunities
- Use data, audience insights and performance learnings to inform creative and content decisions
- Create compelling copy across social media, e-commerce, websites, campaigns, and other digital touchpoints
- Repurpose and adapt existing content for different use cases
- Adapt confidently to different brand voices while maintaining consistency across touchpoints
- Work closely with clients to develop strong concepts from initial briefing through to execution
- Help shape tone and drive creativite excellence, working closely with the Creative Director-Copy(CD/ Account Director) and Data Strategists
- Work closely with internal teams to gather inputs and validate content and ensure alignment with brand requirements
- Maintain consistency, accuracy and quality across all written content
- Present and articulate concepts and recommendations clearly to clients and internal stakeholders
- Own posting and scheduling content across channels and maintain up-to-date cultural calendars
- Helping to plan the content calendars.
- Participate in creative brainstorms alongside the Creative, Strategy and Data teams
What you need to be great in this role:
- 4+ years of strong experience in digital / social, with experience creating content with SEO considerations in mind
- Strong understanding of social platforms, formats and audience behaviour
- Experience executing digital and social campaigns from brief through to delivery across all consumer touch points - social media, influencer, paid media including performance, PR, ecomm and DTC.
- Strong strategic and conceptual thinking
- Excellent copywriting and storytelling skills
- Experience working with beauty and personal care brands
- Ability to translate data and performance insights into actionable recommendations
- Strong 360 understanding of the digital ecosystem
- Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder-management skills
- Highly organised, proactive and comfortable staying on top of multiple workstreams
- Deeply immersed in pop culture, trends and internet culture
- Comfortable working in a fast-paceed, constantly evolving digital environment
- Good understanding of which content, formats and platforms drive different outcomes.
- Experience working within a traditional creative team of designers and copywriters is a plus
- A genuine flair for words, with strong copywriting and storytelling instincts
- Must have excellent written English including punctuation and spelling
- Understanding and knowledge of AI tools is beneficial, but curiosity to learn and digest benefits and features of AI tools is critical
- Digital-first / agency / editorial experience preferred
