Team Overview

The Senior Consultant, Talent Acquisition is responsible for delivering strategic talent acquisition solutions that enable business growth across TransUnion Africa. This role serves as a trusted advisor, partnering closely with hiring managers to attract, assess, and hire top talent while ensuring an exceptional candidate and hiring manager experience.

The role leads end-to-end recruitment delivery across multiple business functions and African markets, drives talent attraction initiatives, supports employment equity objectives, leverages recruitment data and market intelligence to influence workforce decisions, and contributes to the continuous improvement of talent acquisition processes, technology, and employer branding. This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.

 

Role Overview And Core Responsibilities

Act as a strategic talent advisor to business leaders and hiring managers across Africa.

• Partner with managers to understand workforce skills, organisational priorities, and future talent needs.
• Provide insights on talent availability, market trends, compensation benchmarks, and competitor activity.
• Influence hiring decisions through data-driven recommendations and consultative engagement.
• Lead full-cycle recruitment across multiple business functions including Technology, Data Science, Product, Sales, Solutions, Finance, Human Resources, Marketing, Strategy, and Operations.
• Ensure recruitment processes are executed efficiently and in accordance with company policies and governance requirements.
• Create and maintain robust candidate pipelines for critical and future-facing roles.
• Leverage social media, networking platforms, talent communities, employee referrals, and direct sourcing techniques.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to support employer brand initiatives and talent marketing campaigns.
• Strengthen TransUnion's reputation as an employer of choice across African markets, by representing at career fairs, industry events, universities, and professional networking forums.
• Support the delivery of Employment Equity objectives in line with business and legislative requirements.
• Champion a best-in-class candidate experience through timely communication, transparency, and professionalism

 

Required Knowledge And Experiences

• Grade 12 with a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Business Administration, or related field.
• Postgraduate qualification in Human Resources or Business Management preferred.
• Minimum 5 to 8 years of Talent Acquisition experience within a global organisation
• Experience recruiting across multiple business disciplines and seniority levels.
• Demonstrated success in direct sourcing, stakeholder management, and talent advisory.
• Experience using applicant tracking systems and recruitment technologies, preferably Workday, Yello and Co-pilot.
