Overview

In this role, you can make an immediate impact for a Leading Global Technology Company, MasterCard. The Software Engineer role is responsible for working on developing data engineering solutions, approaches for ingestion, transformation and storage. In addition, you’ll work within the Fraud Data Engineering team to grow their knowledge and expertise. You will get the chance to work with extremely large data sets and be on the cutting edge of transforming the way Mastercard captures, processes, stores and visualizes transactional data.
Role
Use Angular for the creation and management of web applications
o Created and managed UI Libraries
o Designed and implemented Library utilities to be used by team and other teams
o Responsible for creating efficient design and developing User Interaction screens using HTML, CSS3, Bootstrap, JavaScript, Angular 10 and Node JS.
o Worked with modules like MongoDB and mongoose for database persistence using Node.js to interact with MongoDB
o Ability to project estimates, timelines, feasibility, and alternate solutions
o Develop applications with well-known IDE’s like Eclipse, VSC etc.
o Contribute to the development effort of each project by leading and working on the continuous improvement activities of build process, design process, software release process and the team estimation process
Environment: Angular, Rest API's, JSON, Bootstrap, TFS, CRM, SAP, MongoDB
o Develop scalable streaming and aggregation solutions based on Java, Spark, Scala, Kafka, Hive, Hadoop.
o Create documentation to support knowledge sharing; including flowcharts and diagrams.
o Collaborate with other team members during all phases of software development.
o Developing software utilizing open source technologies to interface distributed and relational data solutions.
o Ensure timely and accurate communication with Development Leads, Project Manager and Senior
Management throughout the life cycle of the project
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
o BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
o Strong development experience using; Java or Scala etc.
o Experience in developing Spring Boot Webservices.
o Familiarity with Big Data technologies like Kafka, HBase, Solr, Hive, Hadoop.
o Experience in Databases RDBMS or NOSQL.
o Excellent oral and written communication
o Excellent problem-solving skills
OTHER VALUABLE SKILLS
o Experience working with real-time or near real-time ingestion.
o Experience working with the Cloudera stack; Kafka, Spark, Flume, Hadoop, HBase, Solr, Hive etc.
o Agile/Scrum methodologies

Pay Ranges
O'Fallon, Missouri: $115,000 - $184,000 USD
