Role Overview
The Senior Project Manager IT is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering a diverse range of IT and business projects within scope, timeline, and budget.
The role works across multiple initiatives and requires the ability to quickly understand new concepts, adapt to changing priorities and collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to drive successful project outcomes.
Please note this is a 12 month fixed-term contract.
Key Responsibilities
- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and plans in collaboration with stakeholders and leadership, ensuring alignment on requirements, priorities and budgets;
- Lead projects end-to-end, coordinating project teams and delivery activities including change, communications, testing and implementation;
- Monitor progress, proactively manage risks and issues, resolve challenges and adapt to changing priorities to maintain project momentum;
- Facilitate clear communication and strong stakeholder engagement, providing regular updates, reports, and presentations on project status; and
- Maintain strong project governance, managing scope, budget, timelines, dependencies and changes while ensuring successful project outcomes.
About you
Your skills and experience will include:
- Bachelor of Computer Science, Information Technology, Project Management or equivalent level of skills and knowledge gained through experience;
- Previous experience successfully delivering complex IT or business transformation initiatives;
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools and best practices, with experience across the full project lifecycle;
- Ability to quickly understand new concepts, work across multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced and changing environment;
- Advanced communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships, validate requirements and work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders;
- Demonstrated ability to manage resources, budgets, and timelines effectively; and
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making and organisational skills.
