We have exciting opportunities for Senior Product Designers across two teams in our Cluj office.

Garmin Golf is a comprehensive platform of devices and apps (including wearables, sensors, simulators and a mobile app), designed to help golfers improve their game, connect with others, and enjoy a more engaging golfing experience. Users can track scores, view scorecards, and gain insights into their performance.

Garmin Connect Mobile is our best known, Fitness and Outdoor power-house companion app catering tens of millions active users and supporting an ever-growing number of compatible Garmin devices. The feature set is very rich and targets our complex user base with running, cycling, wellness, training, smartwatch, golfing, diving, and even pregnancy tracking feature.

From this role, you will:

• Be involved in every aspect of our product design process
• Utilize full range of user experience design, interaction design and visual design skills
• Work closely with associates from various departments to research, prototype, design, and create highly usable interaction solutions

We believe that collaboration leads to the best ideas, and we rely heavily on team interaction. As a role based in Cluj-Napoca, this position will require 5 days in the office each week. 

Responsibilities:

• Expert use and knowledge of UX/UI design tools such as Figma
• Guide design direction for multiple projects
• Design input to product development plans and concept documents
• Understand production and operation issues as they relate to UX/UI
• Contribute to design reviews across multiple product types
• Provide substantial contributions to determine the feasibility of project goals and objectives
• Expertise on best user experience practices for a variety of different features
• Provide feedback on designs in areas of expertise to team members
• Demonstrate a good understanding of business needs as they relate to design
• Demonstrate a sense of urgency, commitment and focus in developing high-quality solutions in a timely fashion
• Independently determine general approaches and specific solutions to technical problems
• Demonstrate good judgment in setting schedules and risk-taking

Requirements

• Experience working with multidisciplinary teams and cross-functional stakeholders throughout the design process (i.e., from design hypothesis to creating user flows and wireframes to the specification and build of user interface mockups and prototypes)
• A portfolio that demonstrates refined digital product design skills across multiple projects
• Advanced knowledge of usability principles
• Advanced abilities implementing a design thinking process
• Advanced knowledge of design principles
• Advanced knowledge of user interface design principles
• Advanced abilities in designing screens and user interfaces
• Bachelor's degree plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
• Proficiency in English

Would be a plus:

• You have technical knowledge that helps you bridge gaps between engineering and design environments
• You have experience mentoring one or more UX designers
• You have knowledge and enthusiasm about accessible and inclusive design
• You have experience interacting with AI tools
