As a Senior Operations Supervisor, you will lead a team of approximately 30 employees supporting Collins Aerospace aftermarket repair operations. You will be responsible for the day-to-day execution of second shift operations, ensuring safety, quality, delivery, customer service, and productivity objectives are achieved while developing a strong, accountable, and engaged team.

What You Will Do

• Lead and develop a team of union employees, establishing clear expectations and fostering a culture of accountability, safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Provide hands-on leadership and oversight of second shift operations, ensuring work is prioritized and completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with established procedures.
• Plan and coordinate daily staffing, workflow, and resources to meet turnaround time (TAT), on-time delivery, customer service, and productivity objectives.
• Monitor shift performance, identify operational constraints, and take timely action to address issues impacting safety, quality, delivery, productivity, or customer satisfaction.
• Partner with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Planning, Finance, and Customer Service to resolve operational issues and ensure timely completion of repair activities.
• Drive continuous improvement and cost-reduction opportunities by identifying process inefficiencies and implementing Lean methodologies and best practices.
• Ensure employees are properly trained and qualified to perform assigned work in accordance with FAA-acceptable work instructions, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Ensure adequate staffing and resources are available to properly handle, protect, segregate, and preserve parts throughout the repair process.
• Maintain effective communication across shifts and with leadership to ensure seamless handoffs, alignment on priorities, and timely escalation of issues.
• Use operational and business systems, including SAP or equivalent enterprise systems, to monitor performance, manage resources, and support data-driven decision making.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
• Ability to work 1st shift hours: Monday - Friday 7AM – 3:30 PM.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Experience in production, operations, manufacturing, repair, or a related environment in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Experience in aerospace MRO, component repair, overhaul, or aftermarket operations.
• Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience.
• Experience using SAP or equivalent enterprise systems.

Role type definition:

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

This position is considered safety sensitive in accordance with FAA Guidelines.  Candidate will be subject to drug and alcohol testing per FAA’s regulation 14 SFT part 120, as well as 49 CFR part 40.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
