Purpose of Position
- CASETiFY is looking for a Senior Merchandise Planner to join our Product Lifecycle Management team. This strategic role will drive the end-to-end planning process and oversee inventory allocation across our global network of retail stores, online, marketplaces, and distribution centers. The ideal candidate will take ownership of maximizing sales and profitability while ensuring optimal inventory levels, minimizing stockouts, and maximizing customer satisfaction.
Job Description
- Drive the end-to-end OTB planning process and build robust merchandise plan frameworks (by category, channel, etc) to balance sales growth, margin targets, and inventory health.
- Own the assortment plan and merchandise mix by analyzing sales reports (daily, weekly, monthly, and seasonal). Maximize profitability and explore sales potential while rigorously managing SKU efficiency, which includes analyzing sales data to recommend the optimal number of new SKUs to launch.
- Collaborate with country, retail, and marketplace teams to forecast sales and plan material replenishment, managing and reporting on material shortages, excesses, and KPIs.
- Work closely with the product development and procurement team to track deliveries and restock dates, and partner with product, marketing, product development on new product introductions and phase-outs.
- Validate forecasts, assess accuracy, and perform root cause analysis to implement corrective actions and enhance overall information flow and transparency.
- Drive continuous improvement in material allocation procedures, systems, and policies, while supporting data presentations.
- Assist with ad hoc projects and new initiatives.
Requirement
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- 5-6+ years of experience in Merchandise Planning, Demand Planning, Inventory Management, or Product Management, preferably in the FMCG and Retail industry.
- Experience with ERP & MRP systems.
- Proven experience with Business Intelligence Tools, preferably knowledge of Tableau.
- Advanced Excel skills, including Macro and VBA.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Chinese. Cantonese will be an advantage.
- Ability to clearly and effectively convey complex information.
