About the Role

IANS is evolving from a research-and-advisory firm into a security Intelligence Platform — shifting from static content delivery to a data-as-a-service model that gives security leaders real-time, benchmarked, and actionable intelligence. We’re looking for a Senior Marketing Writer who can translate that evolution, and the complex ideas behind it, into clear, compelling copy that drives engagement, demand, and brand authority. You’ll lead the development of high-impact marketing content across channels shaping messaging, elevating quality, and ensuring consistency with our brand voice.

This role is ideal for a strategic writer who understands how words perform in the real world: attracting the right audience, supporting the funnel, and reinforcing brand credibility.

The successful candidate will also be highly skilled in short-form communication, someone who can craft email subject lines that grab attention, write body copy that converts, develop calls to action that drive measurable results, and contribute to a team shaping the conversation around cybersecurity leadership and strategy.

You’ll also develop original creative concepts for integrated marketing campaigns — the central idea, messaging platform, and copy themes that extend across email, social, web, and events.

This role sits at the intersection of creativity and performance: you’ll write, test, and refine marketing and sales content that connects with our audience and moves them to act.  You’ll collaborate closely with marketing, product, sales, and design teams to ensure every piece of copy is on-brand, audience-centric, and optimized for engagement and conversion.

This is a mission-critical role in telling that story: you’ll be one of the primary voices communicating how IANS is helping security teams navigate a time of unprecedented change, and how our evolution into an Intelligence Platform built on a data-as-a-service model gives them an edge. We’re looking for someone who brings an AI-first mindset to the work itself — using AI as a force multiplier to accelerate ideation, drafting, and testing, so our storytelling can move as fast as the market we cover.

Key Responsibilities

• Write and edit high-quality marketing copy across channels, including:
• Website pages, landing pages, and product messaging
• Email campaigns, social copy, and ads
• Blogs
• Event, webinar, and campaign messaging
• Write clear, compelling, and high-performing sales and marketing emails, including nurture sequences, campaign promotions, and event audience acquisition campaigns

• Own and evolve brand voice, tone, and messaging guidelines.
• Lead messaging frameworks for key initiatives, launches, and thought leadership.

• Champion the narrative of IANS’s evolution into a security Intelligence Platform, translating our shift to a data-as-a-service model into messaging that resonates with security leaders.
• Bring an AI-first mindset to the work — using AI tools as a force multiplier to accelerate ideation, drafting, and testing without sacrificing quality or brand voice.
• Develop original creative concepts for integrated marketing campaigns

• Edit and elevate copy from other writers and contributors.
• Use performance data, audience insights, and feedback to improve content continuously.
• Ensure copy aligns with business goals, audience needs, and SEO best practices.
• Stay current on content best practices, trends, and compliance requirements

Experience & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications or related field
• 8+ years of experience in marketing writing or copywriting
• AI-first mindset — fluent with AI writing, research, and ideation tools, and driven to use them as a force multiplier for speed and quality
• Experience writing to security & IT leaders
• Proven ability to write for multiple audiences and stages of the funnel.
• Experience working with complex, technical, or B2B subject matter.
• Experience communicating platform, product, or business-model transformations (e.g., SaaS, data-as-a-service) to enterprise or technical audiences is a plus
• Strong editing skills and a high bar for clarity, structure, and quality.
• Deep understanding of brand storytelling and messaging strategy.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated ability to develop campaign creative concepts, not just execute against briefs — examples showing concept-to-execution work
• Experience working with HubSpot is helpful but not essential
• Understanding of how to optimize content for SEO/GEO
