Engineering Managers at Merkle lead delivery for Promotions and Loyalty Services platforms, ensuring quality, performance, and client outcomes across software development, QA, and engineering operations.

They manage multi-disciplinary teams, partner with global stakeholders, contribute to solutioning and pre-sales, and make critical decisions on technology, delivery, and people management.

Must Have Skills

Technical fluency in JavaScript (ES6+), Node.js, MySQL (or similar) RESTful API development, integration, and microservices architecture Frontend technologies: HTML5, CSS3, Vue.js (or similar) Version control (Git, GitHub) and CI/CD practices Strong understanding of system architecture, design principles, and engineering best practices Proven leadership in scaling engineering organizations Strong client and stakeholder management with global teams Excellent communication, influence, and collaboration skill Experience with pre-sales, scoping, estimation, and account growth People leadership: hiring, performance management, career development

Good to Have Skills

Key Responsibilities

Delivery Management : Own delivery quality, timelines, KPIs, compliance, and risk mitigation

Team Management : Lead multi-disciplinary teams, drive capability building, foster culture, manage utilization

Client Management : Act as primary engineering contact, run reviews, manage risks, build trusted-advisor positioning

Stakeholder Management : Align with internal leadership, collaborate across workstreams, represent in leadership forums

Scoping & Pre-sales: Partner on new opportunities, lead solution design, maintain estimation frameworks, identify growth opportunities

Educational Qualification

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent hands-on experience)

Certifications (If Any)

Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP) Scrum/Agile certifications DevOps-related certifications
