About the Team 

Our team is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting highly scalable, resilient, and performance-driven applications that serve our global customer base. We leverage modern engineering practices, cloud technologies, microservices architecture, and distributed messaging platforms to build secure and reliable solutions. As a Lead Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in driving technical excellence, mentoring engineering teams, collaborating with Product Owners and Architects, and ensuring successful end-to-end delivery of business-critical initiatives. 

What You Will Be Doing 

• Lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable, high-performance Java-based microservices and backend applications using Spring Boot and related technologies. 

• Own end-to-end feature delivery, including requirements analysis, solution design, development, testing, deployment, production support, and continuous improvement. 

• Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, Business Analysts, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust, scalable technical solutions. 

• Provide technical leadership through architecture discussions, code reviews, mentoring, and the adoption of software engineering best practices. 

• Design and implement REST APIs, event-driven solutions, and system integrations using technologies such as Kafka, relational databases, SQL, and Hibernate. 

• Drive DevOps and cloud-native practices, including CI/CD automation, containerization (Docker), Kubernetes, cloud deployments (AWS preferred), release management, and operational excellence. 

• Ensure application reliability, performance, and quality through automated testing, monitoring, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and proactive optimization. 

What You Bring 

• 10+ years of software development experience with strong expertise in Java 8+, Enterprise Java technologies, and modern development practices. 

• Proven experience designing and developing microservices and RESTful APIs using Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and related technologies. 

• Strong understanding of object-oriented design, software architecture, design patterns, and scalable application development. 

• Hands-on experience with relational databases, SQL optimization, Hibernate/ORM frameworks, and automated unit/integration testing practices. 

• Experience with distributed systems and event-driven architectures using Kafka or similar messaging technologies. 

• Knowledge of DevOps and cloud-native technologies, including CI/CD, application lifecycle management, Docker, Kubernetes, container orchestration, and cloud platforms (AWS preferred). 

• Strong troubleshooting, performance tuning, monitoring, and observability skills, with familiarity in workflow scheduling tools (e.g., Apache Airflow) and basic front-end technologies. 

• Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to understand business needs and articulate technical solutions in business-friendly language while effectively working with internal and external customers. 

• Self-motivated and adaptable team player with strong problem-solving, research, multitasking, time management, and presentation skills, demonstrating a positive attitude and willingness to take on challenging tasks while embracing feedback and continuous learning. 

Added Bonus If You Have 

• Experience working within the FinTech, Banking, Payments, or Financial Services domain. 

• Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration in large-scale production environments. 

• Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms. 

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. 

• Knowledge of event-driven architecture and large-scale distributed systems. 

• Familiarity with performance engineering and high-throughput transaction processing systems.
