Please review the following job description:

This role serves as a senior financial analyst within the Wholesale FP&A and Advisory team. Core responsibilities include executive financial reporting and analysis and guidance for high-impact strategic decision making to LOB partners, as well as monthly close and forecast processes through variance analysis, performance reporting, and executive summaries. This teammate will own the reporting and analytics for the Wholesale lending portfolio, including balance, yield, spread, and rate trend analysis, in addition to performing client level profitability and relationship analytics to identify drivers of growth, returns and performance. This role requires the ability to operate with a high degree of independence and strategic influence.

** Truist in-office requirement is 5 days per week**

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Deliver financial analysis and reporting to support decision-making across lines of business.
2. Evaluate performance against plans and strategic goals.
3. Prepare management insights and contribute to investment cases and value creation initiatives.
4. Support development of recurring forecasts and the annual financial plan.
5. Operate with moderate autonomy and influence in financial discussions.
6. Collaborate with business partners to align financials with operational goals.
7. Maintain documentation and ensure accuracy of financial data.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent education and related training.
2. Five years of relevant accounting or finance experience that includes complex financial analysis.
3. Ability to take direction and then work independently to complete tasks while considering broader implications or necessary additional analysis.
4. Ability to build consensus through communication and presentation of factual and relevant information.
5. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
7. Sound and logical decision-making abilities.
8. Ability to work well with others in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
9. Proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Office Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and other basic software products.


Preferred Qualifications:

1. Advanced excel skills. Ability to build robust ad hoc reports and financial tools

2. Highly detail-oriented with the ability to understand complex drivers and identify key insights within large datasets

3. Strong ability to translate detailed analysis into concise, executive-ready messaging and presentations for senior leaders

4. Comfortable working across multiple systems, data sources, and reporting applications while understanding how they interconnect

5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in balance sheet, NII, spread, and RWA-related topics

6. Demonstrates initiative, intellectual curiosity, and a self-driven approach to learning and executing work

7. Effective relationship-builder who can partner across Finance, Treasury, and Line of Business (LOB) teams

8. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

9. Proficient in Essbase/Hyperion, EPM/BPC, or other enterprise accounting software.
10. Experience with macros/VBA
