Job Description

Purpose of the job

We are looking for a temporary Senior Accountant to provide experienced, hands-on accounting support to Airport Dimensions Peru from November 2026 through May 2027. The role will take ownership of recurring business-as-usual accounting activities currently performed by the Accounting Manager and Accounting Analyst, ensuring continuity, accuracy, effective controls, and timely delivery while the local Finance team supports the MSD/D365 implementation.

The Senior Accountant will also support project readiness through data cleansing, master data review, account reconciliations, documentation, and migration-related validation. The position is execution-focused and requires a senior professional who can work independently, identify and resolve issues, coordinate with local and global stakeholders, and maintain reliable accounting operations in a bilingual and multicurrency environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of assigned day-to-day and month-end accounting activities, ensuring accurate and timely completion in accordance with Group policies and local requirements.
  • Prepare, review, and post journal entries, revenue entries, accruals, reclassifications, and other accounting adjustments, with complete and appropriate supporting documentation.
  • Prepare and review bank, credit card, inter-system, intercompany, inventory, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and balance sheet reconciliations; investigate and resolve reconciling items promptly.
  • Support the monthly financial close, including account analysis, expense and cost allocation, reporting schedules, and follow-up of outstanding items with relevant stakeholders.
  • Support accounts payable, payment, accounts receivable, cash application, and treasury activities as required to maintain business continuity during the project period.
  • Review accounting records and supporting documentation for completeness, accuracy, correct cost centre allocation, and compliance with internal controls.
  • Coordinate with Operations, Commercial, Procurement, GBS, regional Finance, and other departments to obtain information and resolve accounting matters within agreed deadlines.
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules, reconciliations, supporting documentation, and responses to audit requests.
  • Ensure compliance with Peruvian accounting and applicable tax requirements, working closely with the Tax Specialist and external advisers when specialist input is required.
  • Perform data cleansing and master data review activities, including identification of duplicate, incomplete, inactive, or inaccurate vendor, customer, account, dimension, and banking records.
  • Support MSD/D365 migration readiness by validating balances, open items, fixed asset and construction-in-progress information, and other accounting data selected for migration.
  • Document accounting processes, controls, reconciliations, and recurring activities to support knowledge transfer, testing, cutover, and operational continuity.
  • Identify process and control improvements and take ownership of follow-up actions through resolution.
  • Communicate clearly in English and Spanish and prepare reports, schedules, and explanations for local, regional, and global stakeholders.
  • Complete an orderly handover of assigned activities and project-support documentation at the end of the temporary assignment.
  • Undertake additional accounting, finance, and project-related duties as required to support local operations and the successful delivery of MSD/D365.

Knowledge, skills and experience required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • Professional accounting certification in Peru (Colegiatura / Contador Público Colegiado) is preferred.
  • At least 8 years of progressive accounting experience, including responsibility for month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting; experience in a multinational or shared services environment is preferred.
  • Strong accounting knowledge and hands-on experience with general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, treasury, revenue, intercompany, fixed assets, inventory, and balance sheet account analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to review accounting work, identify control or data issues, investigate variances, and drive matters to resolution with limited supervision.
  • Working knowledge of Peruvian accounting and tax compliance requirements and the documentation expected for local statutory and audit purposes.
  • Experience working with multicurrency transactions, particularly USD and PEN, including foreign exchange revaluation and reconciliation impacts.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and practical experience using accounting or ERP systems; experience with Access Dimensions or Microsoft Dynamics 365 is advantageous.
  • Experience supporting ERP implementations, data migration, data cleansing, master data review, user testing, or finance transformation projects is desirable.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize competing deadlines and maintain accuracy during the monthly close.
  • Self-starter with sound judgement, a high level of ownership, and the ability to work independently while escalating significant issues appropriately.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, combined with a practical approach to problem solving and process improvement.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with finance and non-finance stakeholders.
  • English: intermediate to advanced level required, including the ability to participate in meetings and prepare written reports in English.
  • Availability for a full-time temporary assignment in Lima, expected to run from November 2026 through May 2027.
