About the role

The Senior Financial Accountant is responsible for the accurate and timely preparation of group and statutory financial reporting, accounting compliance, lease accounting, and financial consolidation activities. The role supports the delivery of high-quality financial information to internal and external stakeholders while ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and corporate reporting requirements.

• Take an active role in the consolidated group reporting and statutory reporting activities.
• Manage and maintain OneStream consolidation and reporting processes.
• Prepare statutory financial statements and disclosures.
• Assist with the accounting for a portfolio of leases under AASB 16 and US GAAP.
• Prepare technical accounting papers and audit support documentation.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations, variance analysis and reporting reviews.
• Drive financial controls and process improvements.

About you

• Significant experience and knowledge of lease accounting under AASB 16.Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related discipline, and CA or CPA qualification.
• Minimum 5 years experience in financial accounting, statutory reporting, audit or group reporting environments.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge, Experience preparing technical accounting papers.
• Reporting and consolidation expertise, with experience in OneStream (or similar application), with administration and report writing highly regarded.
• Advanced Excel and analytical skills.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience of preparing General Purpose AASB compliant financial statements.
• Exposure to US GAAP reporting requirements is highly regarded.
