Role Summary

Responsible for supporting Product Management activities for the Projects Business, including product and SKU management, product collaterals, technical documentation, samples/sample kits, product code creation, project specification support, NPD coordination and market/competitor information.

The role will work closely with Projects Sales, R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Marketing and other internal teams to ensure timely availability of product information, samples and technical-commercial support required for projects.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

1. Product & SKU Management

• Maintain and update the assigned product/SKU portfolio, including specifications, sizes, variants, packaging and application details.
• Coordinate creation, extension, modification and discontinuation of product/SKU codes in internal systems.
• Maintain product master data and ensure accuracy of descriptions, specifications and other product information.
• Periodically review SKU performance and support SKU rationalisation based on sales, project requirements, duplication, slow-moving SKUs and future relevance.
• Coordinate implementation of approved product/SKU changes with relevant functions.
• Maintain trackers for new products, product modifications and SKU rationalisation actions.

2. Product Collaterals & Technical Documentation

• Coordinate development and periodic updating of:
  • Product catalogues
  • Technical manuals and data sheets
  • Product specification sheets
  • Product brochures/leaflets
  • Installation Manuals
  • Product comparison sheets
  • Certifications and compliance documents
• Coordinate with technical, marketing and external agencies for content, layouts, corrections and finalisation.
• Ensure product information across catalogues, technical documents, presentations and digital platforms remains accurate and consistent.
• Maintain organised and updated repositories of product collaterals and technical documents.

3. Projects & Specification Support

• Support Product Management and Projects Sales with product information required for project specifications, approvals and technical submittals.
• Prepare product comparison statements, specification compliance sheets and supporting technical documents.
• Maintain trackers for important project specifications, approvals and product-related requirements.
• Assist in analysing the project pipeline to identify product requirements, range gaps and opportunities requiring Product Management support.
• Coordinate responses to product-related queries received from Projects Sales, consultants and customers.
• Follow up internally for drawings, certificates, test reports and other documents required for project submissions.

4. Samples & Sample Kit Management

• Coordinate product samples, display samples and sample kits required by Projects Sales and Product Management.
• Coordinate sample development, labelling, packaging and dispatch with relevant teams.
• Ensure new or modified products are appropriately incorporated into relevant sample kits.

5. Product Presentations & Training Support

• Prepare and update product presentations, technical presentations and training material for internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop product feature-benefit, application, comparison and value proposition content under guidance of the DGM.
• Support/conduct basic product training for Projects Sales and other customer-facing teams.
• Prepare supporting material for consultant/customer meetings, technical seminars, exhibitions and product demonstrations.
• Maintain a central library of current presentations and product communication material.

6. NPD & Product Improvement Coordination

• Support the DGM in identifying new products and product improvement opportunities arising from project/customer requirements.
• Coordinate assigned activities for NPD, range extension and product modification projects.
• Follow up with R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, Procurement and Supply Chain on samples, trials, costing, testing and timelines.
• Maintain NPD/project trackers and highlight delays or dependencies.
• Coordinate pilot samples/field trials and consolidate feedback from Sales and customers.
• Support launch readiness through availability of product codes, samples, technical documents, presentations and other required collaterals.

7. Market & Competitor Information

• Collect information on competitor products, specifications, pricing, certifications and new product introductions.
• Prepare and periodically update competitor benchmarking and product comparison sheets.
• Participate in market/customer visits along with Projects Sales/Product Management to understand product and application requirements.
• Capture feedback on product gaps, customer requirements and competitor products.
• Support the DGM with information required for product reviews, NPD discussions and management presentations.

Support to DGM - Product Management

The Senior Executive will assist the DGM in:

• Product and SKU portfolio reviews
• SKU rationalisation analysis
• Project pipeline/product opportunity reviews
• Product gap and competitor analysis
• NPD and product improvement projects
• Preparation of product/business review presentations
• Product costing and pricing-related data preparation
• Consultant/customer presentation material
• Product launch coordination
• Cross-functional follow-up and action tracking
• Periodic MIS and management reports

Candidate Profile

Education & Experience

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Product Management, Product Marketing, Technical Marketing, Projects Business or related roles.
• Engineering qualification preferred; MBA/Postgraduate qualification desirable.
• Exposure to plumbing, sanitary, drainage, piping systems, building materials or other technical/project-oriented products preferred.
