POSITION OVERVIEW: 

Supply Chain is a critical enabler of Insomnia Cookies’ next stage of growth, and this leader will shape what comes next. 

The Senior Director of Supply Chain will lead and evolve our end-to-end sourcing, procurement, and supply chain operations. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer and partnering closely with the executive leadership team, this leader will drive cost efficiency, supply assurance, operational scalability, and measurable supply chain performance across our rapidly growing global footprint. 

This leader will shape and execute progressive sourcing strategies across direct and indirect spend categories—including packaging, co-manufactured products, logistics, and services—while building strategic supplier and partner relationships and creating a more agile, accountable, and data-driven supply chain organization. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Strategic Leadership & Execution 

• Develop and implement enterprise-wide sourcing and procurement strategies aligned with financial and operational goals. 

• Partner closely with Finance and business leaders to drive cost discipline, margin improvement, and long-term value creation. 

• Lead supply chain transformation initiatives that support continued growth and scalability. 

• Anticipate supply chain risks and opportunities and translate them into clear strategies and actions for the business. 

Sourcing & Procurement Excellence 

• Oversee procurement programs including vendor selection, contract negotiation, RFP/RFI processes, and supplier performance management. 

• Establish best-in-class frameworks for vendor evaluation, engagement, and ongoing relationship management. 

• Conduct spend analysis and market assessments to identify cost-saving opportunities, sourcing efficiencies, and opportunities to improve value. 

• Build sourcing strategies that balance cost, quality, service, reliability, and long-term business needs. 

Supplier & Partner Management 

• Build and manage strategic relationships with key suppliers, co-manufacturers, and third-party logistics (3PL) and freight partners, holding them accountable to service, cost, quality, and reliability standards. 

• Establish clear supplier performance expectations, scorecards, and business review processes to drive accountability and continuous improvement. 

• Develop mutually beneficial supplier partnerships that create value beyond cost, including innovation, capacity, service improvement, and risk mitigation. 

• Leverage company scale, strategic partnerships, and competitive market dynamics to optimize cost of goods and ensure supply continuity. 

• Proactively identify and mitigate supplier, logistics, and supply continuity risks. 

Cost Optimization & Financial Impact 

• Own and deliver against cost-reduction targets across supply chain categories. 

• Lead negotiations and contract strategies to mitigate inflationary pressures and improve unit economics. 

• Partner cross-functionally to identify opportunities to leverage purchasing power and streamline spend. 

• Balance near-term savings opportunities with sustainable, long-term value creation and supply assurance. 

Performance Measurement & Reporting 

• Define and own the key performance indicators for the supply chain function, including cost savings and avoidance, supplier service levels and quality, supply assurance and on-time delivery, and inventory and working capital efficiency. 

• Establish a regular reporting cadence to business leaders, translating supply chain performance into clear financial and operational readouts that inform enterprise decision-making. 

• Build the dashboards, tools, and reporting infrastructure needed to give Finance and cross-functional partners real-time visibility into spend, savings, supplier performance, and supply chain risk. 

• Report progress against annual cost-reduction and margin-improvement targets, proactively surfacing risks, opportunities, and recommended actions. 

Operational Effectiveness 

• Implement systems, processes, and tools to enhance procurement efficiency, visibility, and decision-making. 

• Ensure timely and effective execution of supply chain initiatives within budget and contractual parameters. 

• Drive continuous improvement across sourcing, logistics, supplier operations, and broader supply chain processes. 

• Build scalable processes and capabilities that can support Insomnia’s continued domestic and global growth. 

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Team Leadership 

• Partner with functional leaders to align supply chain strategies with business needs and priorities. 

• Serve as a trusted advisor on sourcing, negotiation, supplier strategy, cost management, and supply risk. 

• Lead, develop, and scale a high-performing supply chain team, driving accountability, growth, and strong cross-functional collaboration. 

• Bring a collaborative, hands-on leadership style and the ability to move between enterprise strategy and day-to-day execution. 

Qualifications & Experience 

• 10+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, including 3+ years in a senior leadership role.  

• Experience in high-growth environments within Food Service, Retail, or Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) strongly preferred.  

• Demonstrated expertise in strategic sourcing methodologies (e.g., value stream mapping, lean principles, competitive bidding, contract strategy).  

• Proven success in complex negotiations and contract development.  

• Strong analytical, financial, and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset.  

• Excellent communication and executive-level presentation skills.  

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field  

• Experience supporting or scaling a national brand to broader/global expansion is a plus.
