Job Description Summary:

Senior Director, Public Affairs, Communications and Sustainability - Turkiye

This role responsible for shaping and advancing the company’s public affairs, sustainability, corporate reputation, and stakeholder engagement agenda in Türkiye. Acts as a key enterprise advisor to senior leadership on government affairs, regulatory developments, public policy, geopolitical and societal risks, crisis management, and external positioning. Leads the development of integrated external engagement strategies that protect and strengthen the company’s license to operate, reinforce corporate reputation, and support long-term sustainable business growth. Represents the company in high-profile engagements with government authorities, industry associations, media, civil society, and strategic partners, while influencing external policy environments in alignment with corporate and business priorities.

ORGANIZATIONAL IMPACT

• Shapes country-level PACS strategy and drives execution of long-term external affairs, sustainability, and reputation priorities with significant business impact

• Protects and strengthens the company’s long-term license to operate through proactive external engagement, policy positioning, and reputation management

• Ensures PACS priorities support sustainable business growth, customer engagement, and long-term commercial objectives • Partners closely with bottling system leadership to align policy positioning, sustainability priorities, and external engagement strategies

• Anticipates emerging regulatory, political, and societal risks and develops proactive mitigation and engagement strategies

• Partners with senior business leadership to influence enterprise strategy, regulatory positioning, risk mitigation, and market reputation

• Leads highly sensitive and business-critical engagements with government authorities, industry associations, NGOs, media, and key external stakeholders

• Owns crisis preparedness and response coordination related to public affairs, sustainability, and reputational matters

• Strengthens PACS governance, organizational capability, and external engagement effectiveness across the system

• Navigates highly complex, and politically sensitive environments requiring strategic judgment and executive decision-making

• Anticipates external risks, policy shifts, and societal trends to proactively shape advocacy and reputation strategies

• Develops new engagement models, partnerships, and influence strategies to advance corporate and public policy objectives

• Solves market-level problems with significant reputational, governmental, and commercial implications

COMMUNICATION & INFLUENCE

• Represents the company in key industry platforms, policy forums, and external coalitions shaping the future regulatory and sustainability landscape

• Shapes authentic and locally relevant narratives that strengthen stakeholder trust and corporate reputation

• Provides strategic oversight on external messaging and communications across policy, sustainability, and reputation priorities

• Builds consensus and trusted partnerships across government, industry, civil society, academia, and media stakeholders

• Influences executive and senior leadership decisions on matters of strategic and enterprise importance

• Leads high-impact negotiations, advocacy efforts, and crisis communications in complex stakeholder environments

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERTISE

• Recognized enterprise and external thought leader in public affairs, sustainability, government relations, and corporate reputation management

• Typically requires 20 years of relevant experience and deep expertise in regulatory affairs, public policy, stakeholder engagement, crisis leadership, and strategic communications

• Deep understanding of Türkiye’s regulatory, political, and stakeholder landscape

• Strong business acumen with the ability to align external affairs strategy with long-term business objectives

• Exceptional executive presence and stakeholder influencing capabilities, with the ability to build trusted relationships across government, business, and civil society

• Strong resilience, with the ability to lead through ambiguity, high-pressure situations, and reputationally sensitive environments

• Advanced Turkish and English proficiency
