Lyka is an Australian founded pet wellness company that’s shaking up an outdated industry and paving the way for happier, healthier pets. Despite medical advancements, animal lifespans are on the decline. Today, the average pet only reaches 37% of their full potential lifespan and statistics have shown us that many suffer from dental disease, cancer, and obesity. Simply put, the status quo is not enough.

As humans, we’ve experienced firsthand the positive impact fresh wholefoods can have on our health and wellbeing, and we believe our furry friends deserve the same. We're on a mission to do just that, starting with nutritionally balanced, wholefood meals delivered direct to doors around Australia. As the world’s most sustainable pet wellness company, we’re putting pets and our planet first - one bowl at a time.

Today, we are proud to share we’ve served over 100 million meals to puppers and their parents across Australia, and this is just the beginning. Our vision is to create multiple nutritional products, adding disease prevention meals and supplements, and expand into new markets.

Currently, we have a team of 250+ pet-obsessed people, and we're continuing to grow (yes, looking at you!). These carefully selected people are dedicated to building the next generation of technology and products to help empower pet parents to take control over their pet’s wellbeing.

Our Mission

The time we share with our pets is being cut short. Despite medical advancements, they’re getting sicker earlier. They’re dying prematurely. The industry has it backwards - prioritising treating symptoms instead of addressing the root cause. That’s where we come in.

At Lyka, we take a preventative, holistic and personalised approach to pet care. We look at the full picture, factoring in the diet, lifestyle and environment of each individual animal.

We don’t stop at symptoms, instead we dig for the root cause. We create nutrition plans unique to each pet, because it’s not just about living longer, but living well too.

The Role

We’re on the hunt for a brand-obsessed, creative, and highly motivated multi-disciplinary Brand Designer to join our in-house marketing team at Lyka HQ in Alexandria. In this role, you’ll work closely with our Design Lead and wider creative team to craft thoughtful, elevated designs that balance with performance and brand storytelling.

This is a pivotal role in a fast-moving, collaborative team passionate about creating beautiful design with purpose. From effective Performance ads to stand out packaging concepts, you’ll take projects from concept through to polished delivery, contributing to Lyka’s growing brand presence.

You’re confident in your craft, thrive on collaboration, and love solving problems through design. Most importantly, you’re inspired by Lyka’s mission and bring a genuine love of dogs and passion for wellness and nutrition.

What you’ll do:

• Produce effective and high-quality creative assets across digital, print, web, packaging, social, and internal channels.
• Concept, design and iterate performance marketing creative across paid channels, collaborating with the Growth team to test concepts, apply learnings, and drive results while staying true to Lyka’s brand.
• Help evolve and maintain Lyka’s visual identity, ensuring consistency across all brand touchpoints.
• Collaborate with marketing, growth, and product teams to design campaign assets, product launch materials, internal initiatives, and more.
• Translate briefs into compelling concepts that drive engagement and strengthen brand recognition.
• Support in the creation and upkeep of brand guidelines, design systems, and best practices.
• Manage multiple projects and stakeholder communication autonomously as well as adhering to deadlines, balancing creativity with efficiency.
• Contribute to ideation and campaign development, working alongside designers, content creators, and creative managers.
• Collaborate with the product teams on designing for Lyka’s digital platforms, helping shape seamless customer experiences.

Requirements

• 7+ years’ design experience in FMCG, lifestyle, retail, or brand/creative agency environments.
• Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in design or art-related field
• Strong design and art direction skills, with a conceptual and strategic edge.
• Experience in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.
• A sharp eye for detail, craft, and consistency, with an instinct for taste and cultural relevance.
• Ability to take ownership of projects while thriving in a collaborative environment.
• Openness to feedback, with a proactive and positive attitude.
• Passion for brand building, storytelling, and creative innovation.
