ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Works to achieve operational targets with substantial impact on the human resources governance job area results.
2. Directs the identification, assessment, and mitigation of risks specific to HR functions.
3. Develops, implements, and manages processes and procedures to monitor and manage HR risks.
4. Conducts comprehensive risk analysis, vulnerability assessments, and control testing to safeguard HR assets and data.
5. Provides detailed internal and external reporting on HR risk posture and regulatory compliance.
6. Collaborates with HR teams and business partners to embed risk management practices into HR operations.
7. Advises on updates to HR policies and controls in response to regulatory changes and risk assessments.
8. Directs audits and compliance reviews related to HR governance activities.
9. Coaches and mentors HR teams and stakeholders on risk management best practices and compliance requirements.
10. Manages continuous improvement initiatives to enhance HR governance processes and controls.
11. Manages large HR governance projects.

Required Qualifications
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, training, and work-related experience.
2. Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in HR risk management and controls or related human resources functions.
3. Deep expertise in HR risk frameworks and assessments, regulatory compliance, and control environments.
4. Demonstrated ability to manage large projects independently.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Experience supporting executive-level committees, including Compensation or Incentive Compensation Committees, through meeting preparation, reporting, and stakeholder coordination.

2. Experience coordinating governance, regulatory, compliance, or other cross-functional initiatives within a highly regulated environment.

3. Knowledge of compensation governance, including incentive compensation programs, wage and hour regulations, and policy oversight.
4. Advanced professional certifications in HR or risk management (e.g., SPHR, CCP, SHRM-SCP).
5. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
